The flurry of sight and sound continues as Injustice: Gods Among Us rolls along the promotion cycle toward an April 16 release! The Injustice Facebook has added to a growing gallery of concept art and previews, showcasing this weeks Battle Arena contestants: Flash, Captain Marvel, Joker & Lex Luthor!

The design images offer static insight into the inner workings of each look. From Joker's casual-formal three-piece flak jacket ensemble, to Lex Luthor's amped up battle armor - the underworkings of classic DC Comics design can be seen beneath the embellishment of NetherRealm's armor plated adaptations.

Also included; a closer look at the in-game models of Battle Arena Week 2's opposing villains: Joker & Luthor! Captain Marvel and Flash received the same treatment yesterday.

This look for Shazam/Captain Marvel/Whatever is ALOT better than his MKvsDCU appearance. It's alot more unique and stylish. I also love the armoured touch NRS are giving these otherwise bland heroes, especially Flash, Wonder Woman, Superman and Aquaman, not to mention Nightwing's secondary outfit which just looks awesome with that long hair.

I know they are not everyones cup of tea but I too think that the designs of all the characters in the game so far are awesome. They all look more....lethal. Plus they all have their iconic looks but just given more details and have a more modern feel.

One of the reasons I like Marvel so much, and Mortal Kombat for that matter, is that they dare to change and upgrade the characters' looks. I really dislike how DCU have kept the same look for so many of their characters almost since day one. So it is nice to see that someone is taking their time to give these characters a nice update, and as you say, more modern look. ^^

In DC's defense they did give some characters some pretty major updates with the Nu52.

From what I have seen, then yeah, definately. I don't follow DCU all that much, but from what I understand, the designs in Injustice is inspired from that. I could be wrong though...

Wow, it looks like The Joker actually has his "tools" in that concept art pic. NRS improving!

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
However, it seems he lost them somewhere on his way into the game. Ouch.
