Producer Hector Sanchez has announced his impending departure from NetherRealm Studios via twitter today. His next destination is as yet unknown.
After many years, today is my last day here @MK_NetherRealm as I move on to another adventure. It's been an absolutely AMAZING experience.

Sanchez has been a stalwart of the development team over the past generation, having first joined in the mid-2000s. He contributed to Mortal Kombat: Unchained (2006), Armageddon (2006) & Versus DC Universe (2008) in quality assurance and producer capacities.
As producer, he was heavily involved in recent successes Mortal Kombat (2011) and Injustice: Gods Among Us. helping cement their place within the competitive tournament scene. Sanchez was a regular face within the community, a regular face at live events.
