This would be neat if it were true. I sort of like Tekken, and online play over XBL would be neato. But this report is from spong.com, not exactly the most reliable news site in the world.

To be honest, i'm fed up with tekken, sick of it. I don't want to see another tekken for a long time.

it'd be cool just to have two fighting games to play online on ps2 but I wouldn't spend fifty bucks o it.

I've always been a big fan of tekken series since tekken 2. I would get this game without any hesitation if it is going to be online. I hope it is true that it will come out both ps2 and xbox.

Im sorry but in my opinion i think Tekken suck. What is there to play for theres no blood, no finishing moves, its just so dull to me. The story to the game was alrite. Y do u guys like this game??

There was no blood, nor any finishing moves, in Street fighter 2, yet, it's still played competitively today.

It's called gameplay "depth". People play it to compete, not solely to see gimmicky finishing moves/gore...

I will have to say that I will wait for E3 2004 for official news on that.

Ign doesnt have anything like that on their records, neither does eb games, I think.

i never licked tekken a whole lot, tekken 3 was cool for a while, but got boring after a while, no fireballs/projectiles, slow gameplay.

street fighter was fun, so was mortal kombat.

tekken is just punch kick boring.

true ogre is probably the best since he breathed fire and all.

Meh...I think the game sucks too. If I want depth I'll play VF4 Evo. IMO a lot more fun then Tekken 4.

I fell in love with Tekken when part 3 came out.
Ever since it's been my top favorite 3D fighter.

VF4 currently became a favorite, I though VF3 kind of sucked.

I have more fun playing Tekken for some reason than VF4. Not really sure why, it just calls to me more.

But anyway, when the next tekken comes out with online play " I hope ", I'll buy it for sure, the day it comes out.


With fighting games I look for realistic combat, not really the blood, and stuff like that. To me that's just Icing on the Cake.

The actual fighting is where it's at.
Fireballs are cool, but not needed.

But If I were to make a fighting game, I would make it as complex as Tekken or VF, but also add magic and energy attacks to make everybody happy.


Then I would have an option to turn fireballs off, for people that don't like to use them.

IMO the Tekken series have more depth than any other 3D fighting games. I admit that VF4 is also good but it is more like fighting simulation. As for Tekken series it has both arcade feel and fightting simulation to it. I have spent zillions of hours playing tekken series. I even came in the second place at a tournement held at the university I've gone. Peps how think the tekken series suck, I dont really think they are true fighting game fans. :P

Tekken, IMO is one of the most realistic fighting games out there, that makes it fun...

someone said slow gameplay? not to start an argument but that is the last thing i expected to hear from tekken... its one of the quickest fighting games i've ever played, a lot faster than mk.

there are different kinds of fighting game, the way i see it. there's the faster type, including tekken, vf and others

and there are slower once like mk, street fighter...

they are all good in different ways and should not be compered to each other in a deep sense...

Lol you must play some slow ass figthing games if you think tekken is fast. Not that there's anything wrong with it though...

Hhhmmmm, well let's see.
1.Awesome graphics( especially with the video endings)
2.Over 80 different moves to choose from to perform combos, attacks, throws.
3.It has one of the best mini games ever. I am not talking about tekken force, I am talking about tekken bowling or tekken volley ball.

And another thing, just because it doesn't have blood and graphic violence, doesn't make it a bad game.

I think you're talking to the wrong guy. I don't like tekken. But it's not coz it's slow or fast pased, it's not coz there's no gore and bla bla bla.

Hell yeah! I was wondering when Tekken 5 was gonna come out. I cant wait for this game. Hopefully the game will have alot more characters than Tekken 4.
