I'd love a reMAKE, as I've said a million times and even come up with my own costume designs for. A version of MK1 that tells the SAME story, just with better graphics and incorporates the retcons we've seen, like Aussie Kano, Ermac being in attendance, and Raiden being a protector and mentor, not a neutral asshole out to prove gods are superior to men, can only be an improvement.

I appreciate your illustrating the differences between a remake and a reboot. I'd also like to see Smoke and Jade put in - the "undiscovered warriors from MK1" (as stated in MKII). Also, if we're putting in MKSM-era retcons, Kung Lao.

I dunno about using anything from MKSM, but I would love to see a Konquest mode that's seperate for each of the main characters and follows their origin stories.
Sonya and Kano's would have Jax, Jarek, and Kabal appearances, Scorpion and Subbie would recap Mythologies, with Quan Chi, Shinnok, Kia, Jataaka, and Sareena, Liu's would have Kung Lao and Bo' Rai Cho, etc. Shang Tsung's would either be the longest and most elaborate or skip over a lot of stuff, but at the very least, you'd expect to see how he first met Shao Kahn and Goro (confirmation that the cobalt mines are canon once and for all would be nice), and I'd hope they'd include the story of him blinding Kenshi.
And in a perfect world, those cameos could be unlockable characters for vs. play, like the MKDA characters that you could fight in Deception Konquest SHOULD have been.

I would like to see what that girl can do with that banana Shingo..
The whole things sounds amazing.
As long as he doesn't reboot the whole canon story and make Sonya walk around wearing JUST a thong I'm cool with it.
Seriously, she has more sex-appeal looking and dressing decent like she always has. I dislike his idea of having her just in a thong. It doesn't suit her at all. Give her short/long pants!!
And yeah, I agree with the people who fear this might somehow change what already is good, but, it does sound like he knows what he is talking about.

I'm so fed up about everyone making a reboot about everything these days - why don't the actually make a good sequel instead to make up for the previous shit if it's so bad? The guy's not even on the team anymore, and the idea's been scrapped, thankfully, because MK doesn't need a reboot, it just needs the team to actually have the time and patience to get everything right for a change, including story, gameplay, and even character design.
