Yes, the Resident Evil 2's game over screen were always scary. The other scary game over screen that I've seen when I was a little boy is a Super Mario Kart's game over screen, because when I used up all my retries and I came in under 4th place, the screen goes black with a scary "Ranked out" music, and then it gives me a scary music with the word GAME OVER. Makes it one of the scariest Mario Kart's game over screen ever.

Without a doubt, the one that made the biggest impression on me was Ninja Gaiden's on arcade. Still a child when I played this game, the continue screen was one of the first that revealed death to me in such an intense way. Obviously they must have purposely put that scene in there, so you could quickly reach for another quarter before the timer ran out. Heh, I remember feeling guilty when I had no more money and the timer went to zero.

The part in the first Dead Space where that monster pulls you into the wall. It makes it look like your characters is going to get away, then at the last second it grabs you in and pulls you in.

I laugh every time when I see this, only because the Angry Video Game Nerd made it ten times better for what the screen should say.

The only screen that ever scared me was in Tenchu

Tesshu just made me jump and run away from the screen because of the way the face looks at you. I had to close my eyes and plug my hands in my ears because I just got so freaked out.

Still freaking scares me.

When I was young and finally got passed the Plant 42 and talking with Wesker which freaked me out. Narrowly escaping those darn dogs at the waterfall. Getting back to the mansion. On Red Caution my heart was racing and after seeing that I was more scared than I ever was. And BAM here comes The Hunter and rips your head off. Shits intense and once you get over the fact that you just died. It hits you that you forgot to save so you have to do the whole Guardhouse over again!

Oh and Fun Fact of the day.. The incident in the Mansion takes place on July 24th which is the same day as my birthday!
