Who here dislikes current wrestling, but liked the wrestling they grew up with classics like king kong bundy, george the animal steel, papa shango, and all these tacky bastards that were more or less in athelitic shape?
Might be the fact that I grew out of the bad acting, obvious set ups, and over glamorous style of todays wrestling, but there something that seemed better about early WWF.

It's not a question of "disliking current wrestling", it's question of the fact that today's product is no where near as good as it was 10, or 20 years ago. I mean I used to watch Maple Leaf Wrestling before my area got WWF, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed that allot more than I enjoy some of today's stuff. But what someone like you says that "the bad acting, obvious set ups, and over glamorous style" of today is what makes it bad, is what true fans like myself say is what makes it still ejoyable! Sure I've scratched my head and thought "wtf?" to some of the shit that the WWE has put out, but then someone like the Boogeyman comes along, and I think, "wow, he's allot like so and so used to be" and it brings a nostalgic feeling.

No, not every match that he's in is "gold in my eyes" just certain ones, like the one at NWO! And if you actually watched NWO, and took the time to appreciate a good match like the one between Angle and Taker, you'll see why I said the match stole the show, and proves to everyone that Taker's still got it.

Any way, a question for you all:
Did anyone catch on G4 Tech TV (just G4 in the States), on the show "Training Camp" the wrestling show they did? Man that was funny! The "so-called expert" at WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2K6, gave his tips for the game in return, he got to "wrestle" Sheldon Benjamin, and get tips and wrestling moves from John Cena, as well as Benjamin, plus the stupid character name of "Mammeltoes, the Turd Burgler" with his finisher, "The Fruit-basket"! That was some funny shit! Glad it wasn't me!

I"m not a Taker fan by any means, but that match was pretty damn good. And it wasn't due to angle carrying the deadman, either. Both worked very well. It was a shocker, lol.

Seems like The Dicks have been released by the WWE as well. They sure know how to push their tag division these days...

Seriously, I only keep up with WWE if Taker's in it. I genuinely want to see him get maybe one more title win and then retire. I cant stand to see him keep hurting his knees and hips over and over again, he's too old for this. It's gotten to the point where I dont care if Vince screws him over, I just want him to stop this as soon as possible before he does any serious damage. Better to kill him as a character than to kill him in real life, i believe.

Trying out GM mode in SVR2K6 again. I wish that caw's didn't start at 20, it would be alittle hard to push a stable if four of the five members are caws like in my case. *pushes Chris Masters instead*

Any way, for SvR 2K6, has anyone gotten the Royal Rumble trophy? I won the Rumble, teh second time around, Cena won, Vince came out and said that he cheated, then restarted the Rumble, and I won, and I never got the trophy, just wondering, if it's cause I lost the first time, and won the rematch, or what?

Smackdown was pretty good this week! I enjoyed every match, which is kind of rare for me! Any way, the Boogeyman bit was funny as hell! Great send off to The Dicks! And dumping the worms on the announce table was funny! The 6-man main-event was the best match of the night!
