Oh, and I don't know if there's any truth to this stuff, but it's what's going around at the moment. Vince is a bigger fucking dick than I thought he was if it's true.

Wrote:

Here are some more specific details on the WWE/Dudley Boyz situation....

Mark LoMonica is forbidden from using the names "Bubba", "Buh-Buh", "Bubba Ray Dudley" or "Buh-Buh Ray Dudley" on independent shows and appearances as they caught a company using the name "Bubba" on advertising for a recent New York indie show and then they sent him and the indy promotion cease and desist letters to stop him from using that name or any name similar to his old name for that matter. Devon Hughes cannot use the name "D-Von" or "D-Von Dudley", although they can't stop him from using the name "Devon" as that's his real name. And of course, they can't use or be referred to as "The Dudleys", "The Dudleyz", "The Dudley Boys", or "Dudley Boyz" period.

WWE is also claiming rights to their catchphrases and costumes. They can't wear camouflauge or wrestle wearing glasses. WWE is also not allowing the term "get the tables" be used in advertising for them as a press release was pulled with new phrasing as WWE wouldn't allow the NY indie group to use the term, "get the tables." There is also a possibility that WWE will claim the terms "3-D" and "D-Von, Get the tables", although they can't ban them from using the manuever. WWE is claiming broad rights to everything associated with The Dudley Boyz gimmick.

Hughes and LoMonica have talked about fighting WWE legally because they left ECW with the idea that they owned the rights to their names and gimmick, but it could end up being a costly fight which is why they might not challenge WWE in court. The former Dudleyz are currently brainstorming a new gimmick for the team and they will let TNA know what the gimmick is after they trademark it themselves.

And to add to that:

Wrote:

WWE's legal team has been on a terror as of late by going after anyone and everyone they think might infringe on their copyrights and trademarks, most especially ones concerning ECW. Here are some of the people they have threatened with letters just recently.

WWE have sent a cease and desist letter to Peter Polaco, aka Justin Credible. Apparently, he can no longer use the "Justin Credible" name on wrestling shows anymore.

Johnny Ace recently informed Pete Gruner (Billy Kidman) that he not use the name "Billy Kidman" or "Kidman" on the independent scene when his 90-day no-compete clause expires next month.

The WWE legal team informed the webmaster of Spike Dudley's official website, SpikeDudley.net, that they can no longer use photos of him taken during his WWE tenure on his site. The WWE legal team says it constitutes copyright infringement and threatened him with a $150,000 damage case per photo. Some official WWE photos are still up on the site as of this post, but I'd imagine they'll be taken down sooner rather than later.

Also, the WWE legal team is currently looking at the folks who put together the "Hardcore Homecoming" shows for any potential legal hole they can nail them with. There's nothing specific yet, but WWE is claiming that the shows were infringing on WWE's trademarks and intellectual properties.

Like I said, I dunno if it's true but if it is then damn, WWE needs to get over themselves. Justin Credible isn't even known for his WWE fame anyway, that would just be some greedy cunts trying to capitalize on shit they had nothing to do with.

Yeah why the hell is the WWE going after stupid crap like that?? What are they going to trademark wrestling rings too? Im actually really excited that TNA is coming to Spike. Im definately going to check it out, they have such amazing talent and know how to use them unlike the WWE who has writers who don't know shit about wrestling. This is the competition the wrestling business really needs, hopefully Vince won't be pulling anymore damn JBL vs Batista 20 or 2 year HHH title reigns or people who actually have talent like SHelton Benjamin and Chris Benoit job to midcarders.

I enjoyed SD quite a bit tonight. Only an hour show, but it was packed with some pretty decent wrestling. I like that. No shitty, dragged out promos, no retarded diva gimmicks, just wrestling that tells the story in the ring.

Oddly, I thought the Rey Rey/Eddie match was pretty damn good. Though, I just couldn't get into it emotionaly. Am I the only one? I mean, I enjoyed it, but it didn't seam to have any heat, which is odd because it had some great spots, good pacing, etc etc.

When that bell slamed JBL's noggin' I cringed big time. I was like "be carefull with that thing, Dave." Then what do you know, JBL takes a shot to the face, lol.

Yeah, TNA is going to be great. I just hope it isn't watered down. If all things go well we should have some good wrestling once again. Get some wars going. Hopefully it does well on spike, as spike is basically giving them a trial period. Hope they do well; they'll have my viewing percentage, that's for damn sure.

Smackdown wasn't aired here due to the Yankee game being on UPN, which I can't understand because the Yankee home games have always been aired only on the Yes network. So for a show that was heavily advetised it was never seen by anyone in the New York area.

Now after this steel cage match the feud between Eddie and Rey should be over, this has taken too long.............

Actually now it's going to start all over again. Now Mysterio is going to say ''you beat me once Eddie but you can't beat me again'', and he'll start winning again. Mysterio vs. Guerrero is booked on ALL Smackdown! shows and smackdown! pay per views all the time up to Wrestlemania 2007. And 2007 isn't the year, it's the number of the event....

Exactly why Smackdown sucks, because they keep dragging out this pointless feud. I'm soooo sick of this already, I wish WWE would end it!

I only watched the last hour of Smackdown (after Transporter 2, awesome movie!!), so I seen Eddie beat Rey, finally; Benoit make Jordon tap out again in record time, and I must say I rather enjoy that, because Jordon sucks ass and can't carry Benoit's jock-strap; and Batista claim that not only is he the new master of the HITC, he's the new master of the Bull-Rope match as well!!! Was there even any doubt that he'd retain?

As for what I read about WWE's little copyright issues, earlier on page 210, I think it's funny, and sad, funny for the wrestlers and sad that WWE has to think they need to copyright every fucking gimmik that passes through their doors, even if they don't stay long, case in point, Justin Credible. Next thing you know, and this is where it gets funny again, WWE will tell Zach Gowen (anyone remember him??? Anyone care?? tongue sleep grin) he can't use his real name to wrestle under so he'll be known forever as Tenasious Z, which is stupid.

And on an end note, TNA! I'm going to say that I can't wait for TNA to debut on Spike. Ever since their creation, and the ending of the Wednesday ppvs, I've wanted TNA to smarten up and get a fucking national cable deal that will stretch to Canada as well, now it looks like they finally are going to air in Canada. So, yeah, I might just get excited about TNA again.

Raw tomorrow night! Looking forward to it.

Good thing I ain't getting it, not that interesting a card, except maybe a few matches. The World title and tag title matches, and the Sabu/Abyss match.

You said that I can watch Tna on their website, how does that work?

wow

Holy hell. I feel so, so sorry for you guys, in fact, for every wrestling fan that missed this three way between Styles/Joe/Daniels. You don't know what you missed.

That was the single best non-gimmick match i've EVER seen in about 10 years of watching ECW, WWE, WCW, etc. I mean... fuck, I thought it would be good, but that was something special. My sister was watching it from the start trying to tell me about how wrestling is "gay" and "fake," and by the end of the match she was on the edge of her seat with her jaw on the floor. That's how much this match ruled.

See if you can catch a reply or something, and if not, try download it (though that probably won't do it justice), and failing that, buy the DVD when it's released.

The rest of the card was great - I thought I had got my money's worth when Raven/Rhino was over, but damn, that X Division match was off the fucking hook. Wow.

TheMkGeek, no offense brother but you have no idea what you're saying. I didn't watch the PPV, but just by looking at the card and knowing the performers, I can tell you Raven vs. Rhyno had nothing on the X title three way. AJ Styles is the best wrestler in the world today, Samoa Joe is close and Christopher Daniels is probably one of the best cruiserweights.

Oh well, wouldn't be the first time, nor will it be the last time that I goofed! tongue grin

After reading the results, I kinda wish I had plunked the money down to watch it, but I watched the Season premieres/Series premeires of Family Guy, Simpsons, American Dad, and War at home.

Yeah, Rabid, I never knew you could view the Impact episodes on TNA's site, I might just have to do that.

For those who didn't catch Raw:

I don't really think TNA's matches are that great anyway. It's just cruiserweight high spots one after the other. Someone does some spectacular move and the other guy just gets up right away anyway, it's as though they do the moves but don't make them mean anything. But it sure is spectacular eye candy.
