well i hate him for many reasons.

1: i hate the:
"shujinko! my kitty is up a tree! will you get him for me?" "suredidly-doobibly!"
"shujinko! a fat woman fell on my car! can you help me?" "okily dokily!"
"shujinko! suck on my dad's sagging ass!!!" "alrightily diddly!"
attitude of his, shit, it's good to be nice, but fuck set some damn boundaries.

2: i'm not fund of his styles, too much of a rememberence of kung lao... ugh, hate him.

3: he gets annoying alot of the times, half the time just doing the exact same move over and over again... the ai gets boring after a while.

4: the old concept, VERY old concept that it was going to be a "kreate a kharacter" section where you could make your own fighter, then it changed to shujinko... but he was going to be extremely costumizible, and playable from the start (a thirteen year old shujinko being playable and a sixty-five year old shujinko unlockable), then the final version... old fart who does everything people tell him to do, no spine and a pushover.

i mainly hate him because of those reasons, i liked the idea of a kreate a kharacter, but i never liked the idea of shujinko in actuallity.

I don't hate him. I don't think he's great either.

I don't hate Shujinko, he's awesome. Corny voice acting, l337 old man 0wn@ge lol, sick combos, lots of special moves (who cares if they're borrowed?) and he's the main kharacter in konquest. What's there not to like?

Whiptey doo! It's what makes Konquest so corny (especially with the horrendous voice acting lol). Old man monkey see, monkey do Combat is what matters and in combat he's a powerhouse. 'nuff said.

I hate him because of the following reason:

He's supposed to be the new hero. But you know, I really don't want my hero to be a little bitch boy of the elder gods, even though he'd been deceived all along all because he didn't want the other kid who immitated Shang Tsung to be the elder god champ. Shujinko is a spineless man with no opinion of his own. Why would I want HIM saving the world. He'd probly screw up. Scorpion, now that's a true shampion of the elder gods!

People hate Shujinko for one reason - He's the best fighter in the game. His combos are the most difficult and they do the most damage.

Bottom Line

shujinko is kinda damaging because of his combination of bloody spear, flip kick, overpowered combos, and power fist. and free throws that are also pop ups. read doomsday's guide. its good.

He's old, and that "Yes Damashi, I will do as you ask" is annoying during konquest.

He's just a bland character, that's why.

Shujinko is not spineless, he is playing his cards right. I mean afterall he is getting something out of it.

Would he be helping if he didn't? I mean Damashi had to make him an offer that catered to Shujinko's desires.

He wants to be a supreme warrior and thats exactly what happens. At a cost.

The only reason he doesn't really fit is because you can't just introduce a new hero to an ongoing series, it simply doesn't work. The real hero usually is a consistent character that rises from the ranks.

There is absolutley no way he will be the next hero.

He's Old. Old People Suck. the only cool old people in gaming history are Shun Di from virtua fighter and heihachi from Tekken. shoulda made shujinko crazy like shun is that woulda been fun rolling around everywhere and laughing like old kung fu masters do when they kick your ass. that'd been great. but alas he sucks shit.

Sub-Zero is not noticeably old. he's like cool old. like when you know their 500 years old but they are still badass old. shujinko is like 87 and aging fast. soon it will be eating raisins, drinking ovaltine and nights in front of his television screaming answers at Wheel of Fortune. you can be old but then at least have some pride in it. like heihachi he's got some snow on the rooof but he's ripped as hell. watch the tekken 5 opening movie and see how bad ass he still is. Shujinko Sucks!

Too many people underestimate old men. They are as capable of fighting just as anyone else.

Too Old to be in mortal kombat, Kitanas 3000 years old, or someting like that, but anyways the point is this, an old man with a fighting style as presdigious as Mantas, any day he could take you apart, and where exactly does it say that cause hes old he cant be in mortal kombat?
