Warriors Shrine

Yes, I loved this stage from MK1 and wish it had been in MKTrilogy (along with the Castle Gates and Throne Room stages from MK1). I think having a statue for EACH AND EVERY FIGHTER who has ever appeared in a MK should have a statue to honor them--it's only fair. Because in MK1, the Warrior Shrine honored the 7 playable charcters. In Deception, the new Warrior Shrine would do 10 times that--they could do it!
And a twist in this new updated Warrior Shrine could be that some of the statues are likenesses of strange characters that are actually hidden fighters, and upon winning or doing certain conditions, those statues COME ALIVE and instantly challenge you to a fight right then and there!

Actually Space3999, you bring up a good point.
If anyone remembers from MK Gold, they brought back the Church stage, and each stained glass window depicted a character of evil...Quan Chi, Shinnok, Reiko...and I THINK, I don't fully remember, but Shao Kahn and Reptile might've been there too. Keep in mind I haven't played MKG in 5 years, so I don't really remember fully.
Anyway, I think it would be cool to have a stage which honors different groups of fighters...making about 4 arenas, or maybe 4 alternates of one arena. For example, the stage can honor evil characters like the Dragon King and his servants, by having statues or murals or windows, whatever...next, an alternate version could be honoring Earth Warriors, the other honoring Outworld Warriors, etc...
It'd be damn cool to be throwing people through statues of different fighters all over the arena.

I'd like this level back. I'd like the characters to be able to knock over the statues and hurt each other with them in the arena.
I like the idea of the statues being dead characters. Great idea spike81!

Thanks tgrant. I like it to see stuff of the other characters back in the arenas. Especially of characters that did not make it in the game or characters that are dead. I think statues are the best way to honor characters, I guess thats why I love the Warriors Shrine stage so much. And knocking over those statues and using those pieces would make that level more fun to fight in, but there are also other great ways to add missing characters in the arenas Good examples are Sonya and Kano who where held captive in Kahns arena (MK2), and Cyrax who got stuck in Jades desert (UMK3). I also would like it if the Dragon King will be in one of the arenas watching over the fighters like Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung did. I really hope to see stuff like that in MKD.
