How long you guys think you'll spend making your fighter?

Since it seems we do only get one per profile, I figure a lot of time should be devoted on properly sculpting your warrior to be as unique and awesome as possible.
I'd say with the naming the moves, and making your combo's this could very well take up to two hours.

I'll spend plenty, since I really sculpt with clay I'll be taking a long time(possibly hours) before my guy is done, it'll be well worth it though no doubt.grin

BTW, thanks tetra lol it figures I'm downloading that vid now so I haven't seen it yet.

Possibly just take about a couple hours when first makeing my character. However I'm really expecting that I'll go back and edit my character's moves a lot till he/she is to my perfect to my likings.

And just to say since I'm posting probably only this one time in this thread...

I don't plan on makeing a character till I have all the KAK things unlocked. That way I don't spend even more time going back editing my KAK over and over.

Also I plan on haveing only 1 KAK. Doubt I'll bother makeing more profiles. Maybe make a 2nd character after a while. Don't expect to though.

And at the moment I really don't know what kind of character I'll be making. Maybe a version of myself? Maybe an original character? Maybe Zasalamel if they have a scythe in the game. Probably create an original character wich I honestly really don't know how I'll make. Don't know race, moves, looks, or even what gender my character will be lol. Just kind of gonna wait and see what kind of character I feel like makeing when I finally make one lol.

I've toyed with KAF, and I've found a few things out.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
You cannot assign a specific race to fighters, however there are parts that will make you look like diffrent races. There's a reptilian facial part that gives your fighter a reptilian face. A Tarkakan face part that gives your fighter a Tarkakan face. There are Tarkakan arm parts, but that does not give you blades.

There are two pre-made KAFs. One for Male, and one for Female. The Male is Old Man Shang Tsung. The woman is a female Tarkakan.

You can not change the color of projectiles.

The only weapons are swords and axes.

When you win in Vs mode with a KAF, no name is said. When you win in Arcade mode with a KAF, the announcer says "You Win!".

There are capes, but no trenchcoats.

There is a trench coat. How do I know? I'm using it on my KAF right now. =P

Is there unlockable items for KAK? So far, I haven't seen any indication that there are, which is a shame, since I REALLY want Kintaro's Shokan claws, face, markings, and 'boots', and perhaps Reptile's DA head and/or Onaga's head to mess around with.

I just got the PS2 version, so far I love the game. But can we only make ONE Kreate-A-Character per profile?? Please someone tell me this isn't true...

I believe that's the case in PS2, not xbox though that saves everything automatically on the harddrive.

Anyway, I checked it out earlier.I didn't see any flaming skulls like in the other demos at GC and E3.

Is this right? They took it out?confused

to Mkflegend:
- Havn't played the game yet(get it friday) but if you can't find your flaming skull it is probably locked.

to SynjoDeonecros:
- 1. In the konquest videos, they show Taven picking up a few Kreate a fighter parts
- 2. I assume by "havn't seen any indication" you mean there are no ???? spots of blanked out spots in the KAK and that doesn't prove there aren't any. And last but not least....
- 3. It's Mortal Kombat. They LOVE unlockables. I think it is safe to assume there are Kreate a fighter unlockables.

Could be wrong about all of this though.

Okay, point. But, as a counter-point:

1. The items we saw being picked up in the Konquest videos may have been the 'relics' that we are supposed to gather, that serve little purpose than to unlock the remaining characters (Meat, Blaze, etc.). Now, it is possible that, at the end of Konquest, these 'relics' turn into a full set of character-specific items in KAK, but considering how all the characters' moves are available (well, most of them, anyway), and there's already generic parts there, it's doubtful.

2. Other than the "Elder God" armor pieces, no, I haven't. That doesn't mean that they're not there, but it also doesn't mean that they ARE, either.

3. Midway is also notorious for setting up promises that they can't deliver, like the character-specific KAF moves. So, there's as much likelihood that they're NOT there as there is that they are.

Well then I guess I wasn't much help. Oh well I tried. Without playing the game I can't really confirm anything and it seems like there is no proof either way yet. I guess we can only hope for now....

And you're right Midway does like to f' with people.

So let me try and understand what's going on...

All that KAK has to offer ... is already in there? We can't unlock any additions to it, like more specials and appearence/clothing parts from more of the original characters?

I really hope that's not true, because as much fun as KAK is, I can't help but feel that it's quite a bit limited... =(

(For all of you who are like "Wheres noobs old projectile?" its in the game. its called voodoo something) no super kick either, but he is still awesome! what will i make next?

Ok, guys here's the deal.Yes, the flaming skull is indeed in there.I missed it the first time around. My mistake.

Also, for the guy that said is everything available.Well, MOST of the good stuff you have to buy, but no worries you'll collect PLENTY of coins which are only one in this game thank god for that lol.

You'll collect plenty playing any and all modes constantly, before you know it you'll have thousands of coins to spend on your KAK! grin

Earn about 7, 050 coins that's a good amount for your KAK.10, 000 is more then enough for a good KAK.

Don't know if this has been said yet...

New Presents/Premade characters are unlocked once you've bought all the required parts to make them.

Also, according to this topic - http://www.mortalkombatonline.com/content/forum/showmessage.cds?id=93712 - things such as Staves and Dual weapons are present in the game. The only problem is that I don't think anyone has figured out how to unlock them yet (Assuming you can).

Hopefully there are more special moves, weapons (No Pulse Blade? What the fuck?), and other items for you created fighter hidden somewhere.

Yeah lol, I wanted that pulse blade too.Since I made a cyborg first, it was the only thing missing.Awesome mode I must say!!

I love the KAK mode, so much fun.grin

More presets?Cool.

The most difficult part is when you have to make your own combos, it takes time and patience if you ask me.

But it's well worth it.
First break from MKA after getting it yesterday afternoon. ^_^
The Bio, is actually your KAK's text ending. KAK endings are kata w text.

I'd like to point out that not all KAK items are available right away.
After a while of playing/buying new stuff shows up, and is added to the lists.

Playing with KAK, I've already made myself, MKII Smoke(recreating the classic MK fighting style was rewarding), and a Tarkata/Shaolin Monk hybrid with Kung Lao's hat.

I'm dying to figure out how to enable more KAK options.

So my fledgling Flegend, how are you enjoying it?
I'm loving it like a pig in shit. I'm too damn excited, I want everything unlocked now so I can create, create, CREMATE!

i dunno if its been plosted or not but what you can use is determined by other things. the size and gender for example determine what moves and parts. plus for ex. with a hat or helmet you get different head accerories. with certain gloves you cant wear certain clothes ect. so theres more there than it seems you just have to be really careful.
