In the video trailer on the official website, when it shows the Fatality at the end, it sounds different than anything we have ever heard. Recently a video of Baraka's Fatality was released, but it sounds like Quan Chi in a way. All in all it is two different voices. Why is this, what will be used, and which one would you rather them use?

The announcer voice from the video where Baraka does his HARI KIRI sounds BADASS. I like the other finish him too but this one sounds different and better to me.

I don't know who does the voice of Quan Chi, but I do know that Max Crawford, who does the voice of Shujinko is also seemingly the voice of the Dragon King. I just figure they haven't got all the announcer bits recorded in the early builds we're getting all this stuff from.

Dragon Kings voice is the announcer. U know cause on one of the vieos when on the DK stage he hits Shinjinku in a splke (death trap)and then the announcer says "I Win". Which means DK is the announcer.

Yeah its Onaga.
When you're fighting Onaga and you lose he says "I win' instead of "Onaga wins"

In MK 2&3, did the announcer ever say "Shao Kahn" wins? I don't remember

"Tha Pimpin has spoken"

Nope, there was silence when Shao won, which is why I always remembered people saying the announcer was kahn...

The Baraka fatality vid is from the E3 build of the game. Almost 4 months old now. The Baraka hara-kiri vid is newer. The announcer for Deception will be Onaga.
I played it today (at game stars) and it still had the Quan Chi voice in it.
Maybe Onaga just takes over for his round? Or there's an option, or maybe they're just gonna change it, heh.

In MK3, Shao Kahn would say "I win." And with most non Sub-Zero players, he'd say it a lot. wink

Hopefully Onaga will be a taunting type boss rather than a just beating your ass type boss.

But yeah, if you've seen the Shujinko bio you see Max Crawford recording and he says "Shujinko wins" in a very growly non-Shujinko voice. That's why I think he's also doing the voice of the Dragon King. Though I don't think there's any plot twists involved in that, just to nip you theorists in the bud. wink
i didnt, like the voice on mkda, it was cool, but not that good, the one from mortal kombat 2 and 3 rulez big time. if they don ́t use the same, please use one better, than the one in mkda

Yeah, the Quan Chi voice is just some dude with a lame transpositional effect. I hate that. That type of crap might work on Power Rangers (Zordon), but not on Mortal Kombat. Actually, Raiden sounded more like Zordon in MK4. Anyway...I think Max Crawford will do a good job, if not as good as Steve Ritchie.

yeah when Kahn won in MK2 the letters on the screen say "Shao Kahn wins" but the only thing you hear would be a laugh from Kahn or he'd walk up to you and say, "I am Shao Kahn, bow to me." Or "That was pathetic". Also, when you fight him. It does not say, "Round 1 Fight!" It says, "Feel the wrath of Shao Kahn" or "Feel the power of Shao kahn" Then the crowd cheers, cause you get hit by his shoulder dash, lol :)

Oh one more thing

In MK2 when Noob Saibot wins, Shao Kahn says, "Feel the power of...TOASTY!!"

Instead of "Noob Saibot wins"

jeurgen - Heh, I felt the power of toasty many a time.

My favourite Kahnism was "It's official, you suck."

I still don't know why Kahn says that when Noob Saibot wins...maybe in the storyline Noob Saibot is Kahn's right-hand man in MK2

Oh and who does Shang Tsung's voice in MK1? he does the "Fight", "fatality", "_____ wins", and the laugh.

Anyone know?

The DK super agressive one sounds so good. It suits MKD so well too.

When i first heard the voice i thought it was Quan, but the voice sounded more deeper and agressive. But still i think it might the DK.
