EDIT: Sub has the same Special Throw (R1+R2 aka ST) as Liu and Reptile, so Sub is still the best. If you get frozen or get hit by a J~3, then you lose 60%+

Liu Kang is better than Sub-Zero.
R+1, J~3, 111, ST, 3, ST, 3, ST, 3...until meter is gone. It does around 80% unescapable, if you can find a chest with an energy orb in it while you are throwing them down, you can get 100% easy.
Reptile (and I think someone else) can do this too, but is MUCH harder to setup.
If you know how to escape the ST, 3...PLEASE post it here!

And how does that even come close to the topic discussed in this thread? Also, when was Shinnok the best in MK4/G? Not even close. Then Raiden? What are you smoking? lol
In MKSM, Sub-Zero is the best then Liu then Kung. I'm not talking about cool looking or any dumb shit like that...this is 100% gameplay related.

just a little thing i found.
with kung lao, if you can do any launch move (his spin is the best) then, if you get the timing right when they are falling, you can throw the hat and when they get hit the fidt time by the hat they will be knocked the way the hat is moving and the hat will keep on hitting them until the are against an object (like a wall or building).

Guys, Kitana isn't that bad... i've tried using her a lot recently and I think she's quite possibly the best character to use in VS mode. Her specials have a lot variety and they work really well with her combos. Oh and like in the other MK games, her fans come out a lot faster when she throws them in the air. Her dive kick move which is identical to Kung Lao's is also nice for intercepting after air techs and for chipping damage.
I've found some good non-techable combos for her but i'm not 100% sure if they are non-techable so if anyone wants to double check, feel free.
Kitana:
1112 S1
1112~J~3
1112~J~23
111~J~23
112 112~J~3
112 11~J~23
112 11~J~12 S3
112 1 S2 1112~J~23 T// 112 1 S2 111~J~23 T
111~J~23 11 S2 111~J~23 S3
I'm not completely sure if the last one works since I THINK the opponent can tech after J~23. The timing takes a lot of practice to combo the 23 while jumping. S2 can combo after the 11 combo since the enemy is already in the air. The other two before already do about 35~40%+ damage easily.
The one before the last does around 45~50%. There are two different versions of it because I have a slight suspicion that the opponent can tech after the 1112, but i'm certain the tech won't work if you only do a 111 combo before jump cancelling.
And the last one does a lot more, about 60%+ I think.
EDIT: A few things i've recently found. I've tried the 112 1 S2 fan lift combo many times and i'm almost completely sure it can't be teched. The fan lift combo can be repeated until her meter has been fully drained, so the following possible combo can be done without being air teched...
112 1 S2... let enemy descend a little... 112 1 S2.... 112 1 S2.... repeat. I'm just wondering if there is a way to escape this infinite. I haven't been able to tech at all in the whole combo but it's kinda hard to do it while i'm doing the combo lol. I just want to make sure because if it works, that would be damn awesome.
Also, while i'm discussing Kitana, i've found a few ways to abuse her fan lift. If she uses it while the opponent is on the ground, the enemy will stay in the air until he falls back down on the ground where the opponent can tech from there. BUT if Kitana uses a launch hit first before doing a fan lift, then the opponent won't fall but instead slowly descend. This allows Kitana to pull out another ground combo once the opponent has descended to a good height, also keep in mind that the opponent cannot tech while being fan lifted! This is what makes the "possibly infinite combo" possible.
Also note that in some cases the opponent can tech before the fan lift if you do a 112 11 S2 combo, but they have no chance of teching in a 112 1 S2 combo. After the first fan lift, however, the opponent cannot tech in the 112 11 S2 combo. Not much of a difference honestly, it's just a matter of one quick hit... but still, something to note. Damn... fan lift is amazing lol.
