I disliked that they gave him cat-feet in MK:A, I disliked that he looked weaker than Goro in MK:A, and I hate that they didn't give him a teleport stomp in MK:A.
Other than that, but both love and hate Kintaro. He was always my favorite Shokan, very interesting looking. But being half-tiger always confused me since the Shokans were supposed to be half-dragon. I always imagined that he was covered in tattoos.

Kintaro was my favorite shokan for years untill i relaized MK had become more about story than appearence to me. After that goro became my fav. but for a solid decade he was tops. I agree he looked better in MKII but they had to change him enough to bring him into the next century. I don't mind the changes in MKA but i would have liked him to be a bit bigger.

Kitaro has always been better that Goro to me. I never liked Goro, probably never will....
four-armed man-dragon vs four-armed man-dragon- tiger
That's how I think of it...screw political correctness.....

About Me
"Is it so important that you win one last argument with him?" "No, it is not, but it is true that I will miss the arguments; they were, finally, all that we had."

That actually spawned from the fact that originally, Kintaro was going to be a playable tigerman character; they made him a Shokan, because it would've been too difficult and expensive to make the costume for him. Besides, Malibu Comics showed a six-armed Shokan, so obviously Goro and Sheeva aren't the sole templates for Shokan body structure.
I, personally, love Kintaro's MKA look, but I agree about him not having his Teleport Stomp and being a weaker character, story-wise (if that's possible in MKA) than Goro. Goro's ending has him wreck shop on Shao Kahn and making the Shokan the undisputed rulers of Outworld. Kintaro? He gets four magic swords that he can play with. I wouldn't be surprised if Kintaro's MKA bio turns out to be "Kintaro desires four swords of power so he can be awesome".

Kintaro was and stiII is a challenge in MK: 2.
I liked how Midway made Kintaro for Shaolin Monks, for some reason he looked way bigger in MK:SM then MK:A.
