I tested the AR, AR MAX, and Codebreaker codes for the US version. I didn't know the UK versions. Some were wrong and I didn't know. I found different codes. I'll change it now. I'll PM you when I get the codes right. Let me know if they work.

I got AR Max from Circuit City for $32-34 something (including tax)
Yes you can use Kano. But ANY character that isn't playable in VS Mode doesn't have any modifier moves. They have attacks that sucks. Each character that isn't playable in VS Mode have 1 hit for each button. I wouldn't bother trying to play Kano. The VS Mode characters plays exactly like they do in VS Mode (with combos and Fatalities). Including gaining skills like Double Jump, Wall Walk, Long Jump, Fist of Ruin, etc.

It sucks that Xbox doesn't use codes, saves suck except for two I found for MKSM, one allowing you to play as Kitana in story another as Goro. I wish there was a Mileena savegame.

Mileena is extremely useless. Every character that isn't in VS Mode have one hit attacks and no modifier moves.

Quick: She jumps and pry down on her opponent with her sais.

Triangle: She knock her opponenet in the air and does her teleport kick.

Power: She does one of her pop-up attacks from MKD. When she sends you flying backwards.

That's all she can do.

How far can you get with these characters?

You can get to the end with any character, but you can't play those characters from beginning to the end.

It depends on what character. Only the characters with Brutalities can be played from the start to the finish, which is Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion.

If you decided to play from the start and finish the game with characters that can't do Fatalities, they can only go as far as the stage where you have to do a Fatality. Those character's don't have the Fatality button. You won't last long on that stage anyway because when you get to a certain part of that stage, you will fall through the floor and die.

The characters that can perform Fatalities can only go as far as the stage where you have to perform a Mutality. When you fill your Mutality meter, and it tells you to push the Fatality button, the game will crash.

The same thing goes for those character that doesn't have Brutalities.

However, as long as you choose the Character Code with AR Max (or whatever you use), you can choose any game save (no matter what character), and play the character you chose in AR Max.

If you want to play a character with no Fatalities and/or no Mutalities, from the start to the finish. You have to save the game before you get to the point where you have to perform a Fatality or Mutality, or Brutality, switch to a character that does have Fatalitys/Mutalities/Brutality (Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero ONLY). Perform the Fatality/Mutality/Brutality with that character. Save the game, and switch to the character you were playing before. Of course you have to turn MK: SM off, put in the codebreaker, then put MK: SM back in.

Sorry, I can't help u there, but thanks for testing it for us. I tried it, and I don't have multitap, I only have 2 controllers. It told me to plug in port 3 controller. Other than that, it could be a confirmed code that's not working.



I perfer you to get Action Replay Max. It's an updated version of Action Replay. I'm not telling u not to get Action Replay, but Action Replay Max haves more features. But if you decide to get Action Replay and experience problems with it, I can't help you out because I don't have it and I don't know too much about it. I only know about it because I have a cousin that uses Action Replay. Stay away from AR Max 2 and AR Max Evo. I'm not sure if you can use AR Max codes on it. I think it uses different codes that can't be used on Action Replay or Action Replay Max.

Some important information that I found while playing with Sub-Zero2's codes: The Boss Oni works, however, is completely useless. Don't use him. The Orochi Hellbeast freezes at the loading screen, just like the Shao Kahn code. The masked guard code works, and he has awesome attacks, however, it is a time consuming process to kill people. The Shadow Priest is also sick, I can do his lighting strike too, but the same goes with the time-consuming process of killing people. I still have ALOT more codes to test from Sub-Zero2's list, and the codes are all awesome, but just so people know, the gameplay goes SO much faster using characters that are playable by normal means.

Oh and by the way, in my opinion, we NEED a Raiden code and a young Shang Tsung code. That would be sick. Too bad there's no working Shao Kahn code
