Idc what anyone says, I think Kobra was one of the best new characters in Deception. He was an awesome fighter with cool special moves and a dark side of martial arts persona, like Karate Kid gone psychotic. People only call him a Ken clone because he's a blonde white dude wearing a gi. If he was Japanese, nobody would call him a Ryu rip-off. Try telling me that's not racism.
The only thing I don't like is that he stole his Burning Fist move from Paul Pheonix, but I happen to be a huge Tekken fan, so I guess a little bit of one fandom into another isn't too bad.
I seriously think he has to be the most underrated fighter in MK history.

I didnt like him when i first got MKD, I only started liking him a few months ago cos i got boeard of being sub-zero and li mei all the time so i thought i try him out and thought he was really cool.

He does have a good moveset.
But people don ́t call him Ken Masters just because he is blonde.
Even my girlfriend who likes to play fighting games just for the hell of it and doesn ́t understand a lot about characters saw him and when I was choosing him to fight she said "oh, you ́re going to get Ken".
He just looks like Ken. Even his beta name on Midway was Ken Masters for christ sake! Some european magazine even posted this when talking aboout Deception like "Ken Masters is going to be on the game!" because his beta name on the demo was indeed KM.
I do like playing as him but he is not one of the best designs ever.

Far more closer to credibility than most of the "classics" are. The majoritz of old characters have lost their spirit already. Essentially imo, Kobra could
be one among the next mainstream MK fighters ro replace old ones like turkey boy ...
bland and bad Bruce Lee homage against psychotic unalligned Karate homage (watch Karate Kid and then look at his alt and primary). Kobra
wins clearly.

First off, to make him look better, they should have him in the black gi, with the hood up as his primary. He looks awesome then.
I agree he gets a disproportionate amount of hate. I personally like the sociopath storyline, a young man who has trained all his life, and finally decides to put his skills to work. grin
