Look....What does Johnny Cage have against Goro?

im getting really excited, i love the vs screens, im glad they are back, too! cant wait to try some duels of my own.. like goro vs kintaro or shao kahn vs onaga..! ^_^

Johnny Cage VS Goro

Amazing! Johnny Cage simply looks outstanding! IMO this is the best of all the VS screens so far. I really love the look they gave him, the hair style is just awesome, and the kind of revamped costume looks perfect. I love his angry face, very cool, they made Johnny Cage look superb.

As for Goro, he looks like the scariest beast of mk. I love the huge back they gave him, he looks superb as well.

Shang Tsung VS Liu Kang

I love it though I would had liked to see Shang Tsung look more evil, he doesn’t really look that evil in that VS screen, but his pose and green light is great. Liu Kang looks perfect. Love the zombie dead look and his pose is classic. Cool.

Kitana VS Mileena

Mileena looks very rushed, but I love the pose they gave her, so awesome. Kitana looks like a man, ugly, but her steel fans look awesome, love that weapon. Why is she so pale? Almost like Liu Kang? Im starting to think she might actually be evil/still dead in this game.

Reiko VS Shao Kahn

Had seen these two before in older pics, still look awesome. I love their poses and Reikos weapon looks superb. Very very cool.

Cyrax VS Sektor

Had seen these two as well, still look pretty cool. Sektors pose is superb, much much better then Cyraxs imo.

Scorpion VS Sub-Zero

Same, we had seen these two before, they look great. Subs weapon looks very cool.



Johnny Cage and Goros rivalry has become more then just “a classic movie battle” or “for simple nostalgic feelings”.

Ever since MK4 they have somehow tried to hint that they might incorporate their “movie rivalry” in the games, just like they did with so many other things like Sonyas Bridgtte Wilson/Sandra Hess look, Raydes Christopher Lambert look, Tsungs ship, etc etc etc.

Many stuff/things/looks from the films was incorporated in the games ever since Mk4.

So, the Goro VS Johnny Cage thing started in Mk4 when they released an awesome Render of Goro holding Johnny Cages head with his bloody spine in a high cliff, a similar looking arena that resembled the place were Goro was killed in the movies but that never made it in the games.

In MK Shaolin Monks it became even more evident that they wanted to give us more of the Cage hates Goro thing when it was him who actually killed him after finishing the “Goro boss battle”, remember Liu Kang said something about Goro being his price etc?

And even more obvious facts were given with the intro, where of all the good guys Goro attacked, it was actually Johnny Cage who received the most serious and lasting beating. He took his time with Cage while he only delivered one blow to the others.

Even though Shaolin Monks isn’t considered cannon to fans, the fact is that the team did what they did for some reason, and obviously they considered (even if we dont) many of the stuff in that game facts, or at least important details worth to point out.

those seven loading screens are cool

The Highlightable line things on the site are in a different order now,

hopefully getting ready for new updates tommorow.

After seeing all 7 pics here's what I have to say.
1) Cage looks very badass now but goro looks the same lol.
2) For those who say Kitana looks like a dude, I have to tell you that I agree but here's why, in a sense you can say she's a warrior princess and also she looks very pissed off. Then again, she IS fighting Millena so no surprise there.
3) Cyrax actually looks like he's wearing body armor in a sense due to his new badass look. I wonder what moves he's gonna have this time. Sektor looks badass as well. Ketchup and Mustard have gone a long way since MK3. I can't wait to own people wioth cyrax.
4) This was already said before but Reiko vs Shao Kahn, dude with a big ass sword vs a dude with a big ass hammer. That is gonna be awesome.
5) What I gotta say regarding Liu vs Shang is this, Liu looks a hell of a lot better now than he did in MKD. Too bad he's still a zombie though .
6) Regarding the 2 Sub vs Scorp pics. Badass as usual. The 2nd one should've been Sub vs Noob though, or Sonya vs Kano.
7) I love the grudge match vs screens. I can't wait til MKA comes out so I can check out how all the grudge match screens will look. Also its 10+ days left til we see motaro so we'll be able to imagine how a vs screen with the centaurian powerhouse would look very soon

Kitana does look kind of wrong. Not sure why exacly.

cage still looks the same he done in mkda. goro looks like a freakin hunchback.

cyrax and sektor still look to simular.

mileena looks cool...same as she did in mkd. kitana? wtf? i think thats a guy dressed in drag. theres no way thats kitana.

kahn and reiko look cool. anyone notice reikos wep? looks like the one from the chamber of artifacts level in mkd.

scorp and sub look ok. id rather see subs mkd outfits. someone needs to tell them scorpions so called "classic" umk3/mk4 suit looks like shit.

shang and liu look cool too. but, i think shang should look a little older. i mean, hes always getting his ass kicked..he hasnt taken anyones souls to keep his youth. he had the soulnado thing, and we all know what happened there lol.

why doesnt shang tsungs face look like the face we saw on the opening video on deception

Sektor and Cage look badass, I hope thats Kangs alt., Kitana, bad, Reiko looks nice, wheres Kintaro? Hes the mighty Shokan, not Goro, lol.
Very nice, but yes, they do look rushed.

Obviusly the best Post-Fight Screen shots ever. is that how Scorpions going to look, because in the trailer he look like how he was in Deception.

When Mortal Kombat 8 comes around on next gen systems these loading screens better be a thing of the past. Bring back the VS. screen!

What you been drinkin on? We have yet to see Cyrax until just now.

Maybe they'll have a Smoke Vs Noob Saibot screen next, followed by a Quan Chi Vs Shinnok

But this are VS screens, and the best part of it is that they are animated in a way, at least the background and possible glowing effects, the VS screens have never looked better.

Im not sure if they are also for arcade though.

Anyway, I hope to see Sonya VS someone next, she has a lot of enemies, could be Kano, Mavado, Kira, Kabal, etc, I want to see one with Kano.

There okay. I mean...Kitana looks awful in this game. Her and Mokap are currently rating on my Least Favorite Costumes for Armaggedon. Im praying her Alt. will be like MK:SM. That was wicked. Shang Tsung is nothing to be happy about either...Not very impressive there. But Johnny Looks wicked, as do the two cyborgs.
