Midway made them rush out a huge game because they wanted to make a quick buck. Which is why we got no fatalities, and no story. If they hadn't rushed them, Mortal Kombat Armageddon would've probably been a whole different game.

The whole point as said was to bring all characters in.It is kind of like a greatest hits as already stated. The whole point was all the wariors powers where to cause the armageddon.it's ment to bring back past favorites as well as a few new in the game. They even went as far as to include secret characters such as Meat and gave them their own story. As far as the fatalities go this is the games downfall.I figured it woulda been smarter to give the main characters their own fatalities and save the KAF for the KAK characters. But then again how hard would it be to throw in a fatality slot as well when u make a character. It is a great game but could have been better had it not been rushed and there isn't an area to watch your endings you earn so wtf is up with that?
If they had the time and the disc space (assuming that would be an issue), I'd love to have seen each character have their own 2 fatalities AND a KAF as a bonus 3rd finisher, much like the brutalities in MKT.
Of those 2 fatalities, I would reprise the most famous fatality of said character (like Subby's spine rip, Scorp's Toasty, Sonya's KOD, etc) and have an all-new one for the 2nd.

I think that Armageddon was quite silly. People are saying that the point was to bring every character back; but you might as well saying the point was to be overkill. That doesn't make it overkill any less.
The mess came about because the writing became quite unfocused. Deadly Alliance was quite good, although it almost ignored Mortal Kombat 4 -- which is OK, but that was a weaker chapter of the series. But Deception, while being a lot of fun, was pretty much a mess, too. There are just too many realms about, and too many characters from DA were dropped and replaced with older characters we didn't need to see back.
I, too, wish they had just done a true sequel to Deception. But only bring the characters worth bringing back, well, back. Characters that are confirmed as being dead (Hsu Hao, for example), could have just been left out.

Well it's OK to have all these characters but I prefer to have some good Fatalities, and not so many characters...
