I believe that the red pain(intended) upstairz releases the little beetles(which can be stepped on) for effect only.
Once down stairz - there iz the MK Dragon Logo in red pane aswell. It sitz near the "beatle axe", shinning light down upon the floor. - I'd say the dragon pane,once broken,releases the giant bug from the korner. Those mandibles look just big enough to separate a torso 'n' 2

The Beetle Liar Stage's death trap is the red pane of glass for sure. When knocked through it you will be eaten by the bugs inside it.
I'm hoping that the Dead Pool and the Portal Stages have death traps. The both could easily imo. The Dead Pool is obvious, get knocked into the acid or for something new, you get knocked into the hooks. For the Portal stage, if you're close enough to the portal and get kicked or uppercuted into the air, you should then be sucked into the portal screaming and waving your arms around.

The one death trap I'm looking forward to hasn't been shown yet, however Boon mentioned it in Game Informer in a list. He said that one of the death traps has the opponent sliced and diced by lasers.(Sweet!!!!)
This leads me to believe that one of areanas in MKD can very well be a Tekunin base.

After the great new video we got a lot of new info. I however didn't watch it damn dial up im not waiting 7 hrs lol. But thanks to Konqur I got some new info lol. Dk looks awesome and is the first 3d boss I was expecting to have. He looks hard and strong and bad ass. Good Bye Shao Kahn hehheh. Ok I added new death trap pics for the Pit 2, ying yang light zone, kutan palace, DKs stage, a another prison pic show the trap in action, and a ??? stage. ENJOY!!!

New traps added including the Living FOrest just my opinion on what I think it is but I want to know what you think. Also added the Dark level of the Yin Yang arena what most likely the trap is because of puzzle kombat. I would add quans sanctum which would probably be falling in water and drowning or being eatem or something but were only 90% sure its a arena because all you can see is the floor.

I would think that the Living Forest death trap is the often rumored but ultimately untrue fatality where the Trees eat you.

Maybe a animal or like something living in a swap will kill yah like you fall in a swap lol that would be cool.

Did you watch Trailer 3 video those pics are from that video if you see the falling picture you can see that the poles have spikes on them and thats exactly the remake of the PIT 1 anyone would tell you that.

BTW, I think the snaked in Ying Yang only cause damage, they are also in puzzle kombat and they bite the conterstants, don't et them. Plus, they are all over the place, it would be impossible to prevent being eaten..

I wonder if the Pit stage will have the dead bodies and heads in it; like in the original arcade version (not Sega and S. Nintendo version) where the curly headed woman's head was in it smiling at u - kinda corny with her smiling but something abt. it just freaked me out lol; that would be amazing to see in 3-D

Well this was suposed to be updated the 6th but everytime I wanted to update it the site went down. So sorry about that CMETH wanted me to add these 3 Pics. Which are better they show the actuall trap now. SO thanks CMETH. We now see the meat grinder chopping the person in a million pieces and blood stained on the wall. Now for the ppl who were complaining now can see the Crumbling towers spikes. Also the skytempl now shows both falls the first fall to the lower level where the battle goes on and the sencond fall to your death.
