I exactly don't know but for Raiden look at the MK3 intro. This will probably be the main reason.

Raiden because of the storyline perhaps (or maybe they made the storyline after they decided to remove him for other reasons), and Scorpion because they were planning on making the Ultimate update with the male and female ninjas in it (since if you are going to do an update, plan on the largest update using the smallest amount of programming and graphics...smart).

Raiden, or the guy who portrays Raiden(Carlos Pesina) and Mk1-2 Jonny Cage, his older brother (Daniel Pesina) were fired for helping make some sort of knock-off Mortal Kombat. The game failed, and was called Tatoo Assassins apparently.

The supposed reason Raiden isn't in there, is to sort of punish Carlos(No $$).
But it's wiki info so, "grain of salt". It all could be not true.

That game was not Tattoo Assassins,it was Bloodstorm.

And Carlos Pesina wasn't fired, he was just punished per-say.

According to the link to Carlos' article I posted, Daniel was the only one involved in the BloodStorm game. And he was fired for that very picture you linked. He was fired for dressing up like the Mk character Jonny Cage.

Pertaining exactly to topic, and the supposed reason why Raiden wasn't in Mk3, was because of Carlos' involvement, along with Daniels, "at a Mortal Kombat clone titled Tatto Assassins. In there, you can see that the entire game is like an exact rip-off of Mk...

Be more careful//specific as a thread master then. Outside of that, let the thread grow. You could learn something about the subject matter in the process. Now, although I do kind of agree with you about that specific comment, it's just as un-nessassary for you to try to "nullify" it with a comment of your own....most of the time.

Daniel Pesina was fired for appearing as Johnny Cage in an add for Bloodstorm. Daniel Pesina played Johnny Cage, and the Ninjas in MK, and MKII.

John Turk took over as the Ninjas, and Shang Tsung in MK3/UMK3.
Cage was half-assed in Trilogy by some guy nammed Alex something, I think...



IIRC, the Raiden Card for DA/D Carlos mentioned the Raiden hat was broken during a fall. Not sure if that has anything to do with Raiden's absence in MK3, though.

hemm the reason is just that they can't time good actors to substitute daniel pesina.

it's very disappointeing that John turk can be a perfect johny cage.

The reasons for Scorpion's disappearance were posted; Daniel Pesina was supposed to portray the ninjas, and though he was replaced by John Turk, there was too much pressure from Midway to get the game released to coincide with the release of the MK movie. Raiden wasn't there because they decided to piss on Carlos Pesina for being in an MK-rip-off game.
Anyway, this question is answered.
