Over the top? Have you ever played Snatcher? Where a woman gets shot in the face multiple times causing her breasts to fly out of her dress for all to see.Now in comparison Johnny's ball breaker/nut cracker is pretty tame.
And the crazy part it was made around MK era (92-95) and nobody paid any attention to it.So the senators/parents/feminist groups only go after what is popular not what has explicit content.

Snathcer? Sounds like a cool game. Was it cartoonish or did it look realistic?

It's for the Sega CD so it is very hard to find outside of emulation. The game is very similair to Harrison Ford's Blade Runner and drawn in an anime style resembling Cowboy Bebop. When the woman gets her brains blown out they do not edit it at all.There is plenty of blood splatter, you can see her skull, and when her breasts fly out you get a REALLY clear view of her nipples.It is not for the weak-stomached.It is realistic considering its anime like art style.The reason parents never menitoned this game in their arguments were because it was an unpopular game for an unpopular console while MK on the other hand was available for the arcades,all available consoles,and even the handhelds.Good luck finding it Snatcher though,it is a very rare game.

Let's put things in perspective.What will spark more controversy?Cage punching a woman in the groin,or A woman getting riddled with bullets to the head AND her breasts flying out of her dress exposing her bare nipples? What will spark more controversy.Probably Cage because one,everyone loves egging MK,and two,Snatcher was not a popular game but as of now has become somewhat of a cult classic.Yeah I know the scene in Snatcher wasn't THAT bad despite everyone seeing her breasts fly out,but it was pretty shocking that it went by unnoticed.

Here is something else that went by unnoticed.Has anyone heatd of the old genesis cult classic Rings of Power?It is your typical RPG in every but it had a little something that set it apart,Before you turn your genesis (or emulator)press and hold A,B,C down right, and start on the second controller.Do the code and you'll be surprised what went under the senators/parents radar.

This little feature has made this one of the genesis' many cult classics.It makes you wonder how stupid the senators were to not notice this but no....they kept egging on MK till GTA came out and look were THAT goes.It attracts morons like Jack Thompson who crap on what is popular instead of what has more explicit content (odd how he targets GTA and Killer 7 ,but he doesn't notice God of War.)It happens then and it happens now,people are growing more stupid than ever.Stop targetting the fad instead of the real problem.
