Scorpion and Sub-Zero are original. Other ninjas may not be but they are. They were from MK1 and both Sub-Zero and Scorpion didn't have any of eachother's moves ever.

Asking for the best MK3/UMK3 character is kind of an oxymoron to me, implying there's a "best" of anything in the game. But I'll give it a shot.

Best Visually - Ermac.

Best Playability - Noobsaibot.

Best Strategicaly - Cyrax.
