a lot of people want midway to put mk 1,mk2 mk3 and mk4 and gold all on one disc.try this instead of cramming it all on one disc why not put them out seperate.then the game won't freeze slow down or nothing like put mk1 out 1 year for all next gen systems mk2 the next and so-on

more convinent to have them all on one disk. What people dislike is that they have to change systems and games to play older mk games

It doesnt seem like there should really be a problem putting all on one disc and having them all run without freezing or slowdown on the next gen systems. The only prob is they are all seperate games that would require seperate porting over. That might take more time and money then anyone is willing to put into it for older games with little demand.
I don't think that this will be a problem...
I have EVERY MK version on every system (except MK DA: only on GCN)and here's my summary:
1) MK1 best port: SegaCD
2) MK2 best port: SNES
3) MK3 " : PC/Playstation
4) UMK3 " : SAturn
5) Trilogy : PC
6) MK4 " : N64/DC
AND it f*cking SUX to have a new system for every MK version !! Look at how amazingly smart the hobbycoders from MAME are...Midway also could work it out with emulation - only with RedBood audio here and a bit optimized graphics (as crisp as possible!!) Because Acclaim/Williams can't do the job anyways coz they don't have the rights anymore...

It would be stupid and a waste of time to try to sell every single game for next-gen consoles. What would be a good idea is maybe for mk6 they put out a free disc with reserve (like they did with zelda recently) that has all mk games up to 4 ( who wants ultimate and gold anyway). Also, they kould put like bonus stuff leading to mk6.
This would be a great idea. Also, why the hekk would it freeze? Putting games on a next gen console from a decade ago arent gonna freeze. MK 1 is the kinda game that youd find hidden in mk da as a secret feature (not to start any rumors or anything only an example).

The board is not stupid, maybe it's you or your comp.
Seriously, you pressed the "Add Original Body Text to Post" button many times.

I think if 50 or so atari games can be put on one psx disc then they should be able to at least cram MK1-Umk3 on one disc for xbox... I know I would buy it... my snes is busted and so is my psx... I have these kick ass games and no way to play them outside of maybe buying a ps2, (which would be gay considering I own an xbox) and a used snes which will probably crap out eventually also... Just like the atari compilations there would be a market for the hardcore fans.
No. I think they should make a 2 set CD case for all the mortal kombat games in one. Mabye they can make it so it doesn't freeze. Or they can even make a 3 disc set. Before Midway leaves they should make somthing like that in my opinion.
DISC 1:
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat 2
DISC 2:
Mortal Kombat 3
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Mortal Kombat Trilogy
DISC 3:
Mortal Kombat 4
Mortal Kombat Gold
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance PRICE: $115.99 Thats my idea for any MK fan.
Thats my idea.

Of course they can fit them all on one disc. After all the UMK3 rom is the biggest arcade game in the series not counting 4 (cause I don't know how big it is) and it is only about 32 megs total.
MK4 fit on the 64mb cartridge of Nintendo 64 missing some things. And now we have next gen systems that have 4.7 Gig maxes per disc. Definately would fit with a real real real lot of room left over.
The limitation is the money. They wouldn't make it unless they could make enough money. Hopefully they will keep making more good fun games like MK:DA, maybe the interest in it will grow.
