does anyone have that original concept art of Kintaro's design as a 2-armed tiger with a white ponytail and karate gi? Seems I remember that in a Gamepro magazine a few months before MK2 was released. If anyone has it, post it on this thread PLEASE!

If you go to google image search and type in "Kintaro" you can see the pic i was reffering to. It's the first one that comes up. I also discovered that the origin of his name has something to do with a Japanese Legend involving a "half-breed" tiger. Just a little info for you all.

I saw that at the Annal of Mortal Kombat site. I'm so glad they couldn't do it, because the original Kintaro looks like Tony the Tiger in a karate outfit. I'd love to see Kintaro back some time, hopefully MKSM will give us more details on this guy, and what officially happened to him. There is confusion about whether the "he was killed by Raiden" plot was made by Midway, or someone else.

Thanks Dragon. They've got some cool unused characters in these pictures. They should put them to use if they are going through with Boon's idea to alternate anually with an MK fighting game then an MK adventure game. Could you imagine that concept art of Kintaro being a sub-boss in a game like Shoalin Monks? There were some interesting ones in the krypt in Deadly Alliance. Maybe a thread could be made of some fan fiction that would bring these would-be-warriors to life.....
