Kintaro appeared in MKT for the PS, but like Goro, his inclusion was not
canon. It was only there for completion reasons.

Early sketches of Kintaro had him as a creature totally different from
the Shokan he became. He only had two arms and looked like Tony the Tiger on steroids.

mk mini films? where do u get them? i have never heard of them

he was referring to the mk animated video they released around the time the first mk movie came out. it explained some things. for example, they showed sub zero and scorpion's classic confrontation. and shang tsung's first victory in a mortal kombat tournament.

With Goro missing, Kintaro steps up to take his place as supreme ruler of Shao Kahn's armies. Stronger and more agile than his predecessor he is enraged by Goro's defeat. Kintaro vows to take revenge on the earth warriors responsible.

What happened after, no one knows. All that is known is that he was beaten. In Shaolin Monks, I'm sure we'll finally find out what happened to him.

And apparently, he's not dead. In Konquest, many soldiers in Edenia say that Kintaro was the one who made it possible to invade Edenia.

Wasn't sheeva supposed to be someone's wife, Goro's or Kintauro's? Or am I remembering that from something non-cannon?

Shokans are 4 armed warriors, half humanoid, half animal, in MK1, when storyline wasn't expanded enough to include anything beyond half human half dragon, you can infer that only Goro at this point is the only half human half dragon, since I don't think anywhere in the brief stroyline that you are given through the game, is it established that Shokans are only half human half dragons. Some things are open to interpretaion, but I don't think they completely change canon storyline to include Kintaro in the same race.

Kintaro is a Shokan. It says it in trilogy when u pick the treasures of Shao Kahn, the one that says battle with Shokan champions. Kintaro is definately the best Shokan because he is big as hell, and he coulda destroyed anyone and made a big impact in Mortal Kombat if they hadnt of made him be killed by Raiden. I say that they bring the big guy back, making up something like Tsung or Kahn resurecting him, because Goro, although one of the favorites, never had that big of moves and Motaro was just stupid. But when u fight Kintaro u had to work at it, with his speed and size, he was an almost unbeatable boss on mk2.

Whoever said Kintaro is dead is wrong, nothing official ever stated him as dead and here is a passage from the MKD Konquest Mode:

Kintaro has made our passage into this realm possible. Time and again he has proven his loyalty to the emperor..

Not only is Kintaro still alive but he prepared the way for Kahn's second invasion of Edenia back in MKDA.

OK First of all Sheeva was Goro's Daughter, 2nd Where did it say Kintaro was a shokan (in MK2), 3rd In MKD Konquest In Edenia there is a women that says "Run I saw a four-armed tiger roaming edenia!!" she has to be talking about Kintaro because it one of Kawn’s guards says "Kintaro has made our passage possible to this realm"........

First nowhere does it say Sheeva is Goro's daughter, I dont know where you picked that up from but nothing ever suggested it so until it can be proven either way, right now its false.

Whats the controversy of Kintaro being a shokan? Kintaro is clearly a shokan, just look at him, he is a shokan, he looks like he is the same race as Sheeva and Goro, he is definately a shokan. How does anyone think otherwise? The Edenian that says "run, I saw a four- armed tiger roaming edenia" is definately talking about Kintaro.

i cannot believe the crap that comes out of some of you.

1)Kintaro is a shokan-no need to nitpick the fact that he is partially tiger. he is still a shokan

2)no where does it say that sheeva is related to goro. im not saying its not possible im just saying that it is speculation. he could be, but it does not officially say so. it started because goro has 7 wives, so people assumed sheeva was it.

3)i believe that kintaro died in mk2 by either liu kang or rayden. (im going for rayden). ive heard it many times and it makes sense. he was in mkt because it had al characters in it. im sure evryone understands. the thing stopping that is the seech given by the guy in konquest
however... everyone has established that konquest has several mistakes mainly on the time and date of when such things occured e.g. talking to people who had not been born yet e.g. jarek. i think they felt they needed to mention him and decided on this method. the mk story constantly changes but i still think that kintaro is dead and died in mk2 explaining his absense from the tournament. its kinda stupid that he's alive, but you can believe what you want. but when the storylines contradict which often happens, its up to you to decide what you believe and what you dont. if it cant really be solved then there is no need for debate. i also thinnk it is non-canon as there is no other mention of kintaro whatsoever. it just mentions kano, noob, kitana and goro. Furthermore, kintaro stepped up to avenge goro in mk2, so why would he fight against him during the edenia invasion? he is a shokan. i hope this helped if you could be bothered to read it. if kintaro died in the battlefield or something they could have easily mentioned him at least once. they could have said that goro switched bodies with him or something after a cool shokan battle and it was kintaro that was lowered into the lava following shokan tradition by kitana? but i cant say because its just speculation, much like other things of the mk world. im sure you'll find a way to deal with it but i strongly suggest you take my advice. i believe it is correct (apart from the shokan battle etc. which i made up to prove a point)

Mabey I'm wrong about Kintaro, but until Ed Boon Himself tells me in person that Kintaro is a Shokan,I will always think of Kintaro as a 4 armed Tiger.....

Firstly: Goro's brother is Durac.

Secondly: Kintaro is a Shokan. They call him a 4 armed tiger because of his stripes. I'm sure that Shokans have various skin colors/patterns just as Humans do. The only reason he would even be remotely considered a tiger is the early sketches of him, when he was originally a tiger man.

Thirdly: Sheeva is not related to Goro or Kintaro, other than the fact that all 3 are of the Shokan race. I remember hearing rumors about her being Goro's wife, and/or Kintaro's sister. They are untrue.
