No idea on the copy thing. I barely paid attention to MKA's story. That ending was so random, a copy? What? I doubt Midway even knows where they're going with that.

Yeah, I think we pretty much answered this question, along with Shinnok and Quan Chi's backstory, so this thread can be closed.

But does anyone feel like creating a thread that includes everyones Bios, endings, and back stories? And have what is canon and not?

We could also post theories if there is a plot hole.

I think the real plothole lies within Shinnok's amulet itself.

Before MKDA, the amulet was created by Shinnok as a means of him being able to travel throughout the realms without the other Elder Gods being able to detect him.

In MKDA, Shinnok's amulet somehow has the power to control Onaga's mummified army.

In MKD, Shinnok's amulet is the key object needed along with the 6 Kamidogu as a means of being able to gain ultimate power.

So uh...what the hell is the actual purpose of Shinnok's amulet? Is it all three? If so, how? It doesn't make that much sense to me, and I would've liked that to be explained. But of course, given MKA's lack of bios and lack of explaining the amulet at all, well, you get the idea....

It was created with that purpose. That was a spell Shang Tsung added as he was reviving the army...it would "obey he who possesses the Amulet."

Hmm, so that's it...Interesting...

What about MKD?

Shinnok amulet is one of the Kamidogu that was intented for Onaga to bend all realms to his will...but Scorpion or Shinjinko ended that possiblity. The Kamidogu's were all destoryed and from my Midway sources, Shinnok Amulet on Quan Chi was a glitch...using an old model. Onaga did not need the mumified army any more, he was already powerful enough and killed them all in the blast. lol

I thought Shinnok's amulet wasn't a Kamidogu. When were the Kamidogu destroyed and by whom?

Shinnok amulet has to be a Kamidogu to be able to bend the fabric of the realms, and in the MKA storyline, which is not much to go off of. You can only assume they were destoryed if Scorpion and Shujinko, or one of them defeated Onaga. He isn't carrying them with him anymore. This is why they need a remake or something...

In MKD's Konquest, which I personally consider as partially canon, Shujinko asks if Shinnok's amulet is a Kamidogu. Raiden states that it is not a Kamidogu, but it is connected to them.

I don't think either Scorpion or Shujinko had defeated Onaga.

to me, the Amulet is just an Amulet.

But it's purpose is to be a focal point of all of the Kamidogu.

Kinda like a Sight of a gun, it meant to help the Kamidogu's energies to be Aimed.

Also like a barrel of a gun, it was also meant to focus all of the Kamidogu's energies into one spot.

Also Alter of the Nexus is a part of the Superweapon that Destroyed the One being. And like the Amulet, The Nexus and the Alter are not true kamidogu but a part of a greater Superweapon and the last line of the defense if the One Being returns or any major threat to the realms.

Shinnok is extemely awesome and my fav character imo, but his ending was piontless. That kind of made it seem like the real Shinnok was sort of nice, because he wasn't the one who betrayed Taven, it was the copy. Also, i don't think it makes sense how he can make a copy of himself, but not destroy it.sadfurious
