MKX Mobile Exclusive Farmer Jax & Ninja Mime Skins
Jax & Johnny Cage Get Mobile Exclusive Unlockable Skins

With Mortal Kombat X Mobile available for iOS and coming soon to Android, fans can already begin their mastery of unlocking ahead of the Tuesday launch of the console & PC version [trailer]!

Players with a WBPlay WBID automatically qualify for access to the Future Raiden Skin -- but you'll have to play hard to unlock Farmer Jax and Ninja Mime Johnny Cage [pictured above].

Why a farmer and a mime? Long time fans know Ninja Mime is the Johnny Cage film least liked by Cyrax, seen most recently on billboards in Mortal Kombat (2011). Farmer Jax seems like a head scratcher for the steel-armed super soldier, but since he's retired from the Special Forces in MKX, we'll guess he's gone American Gothic in his down time. It's an honest living!

Farmer Jax and Ninja Mime are Mobile exclusive, but unlock for the console version, too! Mortal Kombat X officially hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC next Tuesday, April 14th! Already unlocked the extra skins? Register to tell us on the Mortal Kombat X forum!

MKX Character Dialogues - Goro vs Johnny Cage
Pre-Order Bonus Goro Faces Off Against Johnny Cage in Intro Clip

Mortal Kombat X is less than a week away! As kombat draws nearer, fans who've pre-ordered the game can look forward to day one DLC access to Goro! He's facing off against Earthrealm champion Johnny Cage in a playable intro preview from NetherRealm Studios. Check it out:

Goro: Johnny Cage.
Johnny Cage: Don't you owe me some sunglasses?
Goro: Here is what you are owed!

Four-armed Shokan Royal Goro has nothing but contempt for the jovial Johnny Cage as they come face-to-face. Johnny's Hollywood days are well behind him as a member of the Special Forces, but that hasn't stopped him bringing a star's savior faire to the battlefield.

While the pair didn't have a lot to say to each other in Mortal Kombat (2011), Johnny's sunglasses quip is a nice nod to the 1995 feature film where the shades were crushed. Star Linden Ashby had many memorable moments as Johnny Cage, but his Third Act face-off with an animatronic Goro ranks high among them for the action movie one-liner: "Those were five hundred dollar sunglasses..."

Goro has interesting details in his entrance - one of the most requested during NeherRealm's #MKXfightintro hashtag. Like iconic images from the movie, he enters with a cape. Once tossed aside, it exposes glowing Shokan markings on his back. You can see more of Goro in action by watching the Official Trailer!

The free-to-play app is available for iOS and Android, with initial anecdotal reports favouring downloads on iPad and iPhone 5 (and newer). Some users have found the app listed as "No Longer Available" and should be advised to refresh the store, or check back at a later time as the rollout continues. Update: There will be a short wait for Android users.

MK Online users fraysol kindly sent in the above screenshots, showing some of the of the kards the game uses for its collectible fight system. Notable references include minion kards for various major factions from the story: Shirai Ryu, Monk (White Lotus), Sergeant & Trooper (Special Forces), Oni (Netherrealm) and Osh-Tekk (Emperor Kotal).

Various klassic kombatnats will presumably make cameos on various power-up and ally cards. Fujin and Stryker can be seen in the images above, with another klassic appearance that should delight long time fans [Spoiler Warning]!
