Alien Titan Starfire joins the fight in Injustice 2 DLC trailer.

Injustice 2 is the superhero fighting game among us - and its part of a big DC Comics line-up at this year's San Diego Comic Con! The latest trailer shows off Injustice newcomer Starfire! Check it out:

Starfire is an alien princess from the planet Tamaran whose natural physiology grants her phenomenal super-strength, speed, flight, and the ability to absorb energy. Scientific experimantation granted her the ability to channel energy she absorbs into deadly starbolts! She's a former Teen Titan, and in the world of Injustice, was banished to the Phantom Zone by the tyrannical Superman, who they attacked at the Fortress of Solitude.

Fighter Pack 1 concludes with the arrival of Starfire in August. She rounds out a triple threat of DLC characters that included Red Hood and Mortal Kombat guest fighter Sub-Zero!

Fans who purchased Fighter Pack 1 know the alien Teen Titan Starfire is the next cab off the DLC rank. She's expected to round out the first trio in August, following the release of Red Hood in June, and most recent addition Sub-Zero, available since July 11th.

Black Manta has been widely anticipated since trailers teased the unique armored outline of the villain in silhouette. The first glimpse stood out in the Fighter Pack 1 trailer, with another silhouette appearing briefly on the Injustice 2 character select menu.

Black Manta will join a roster already brimming with a Society of Super-Villains, such as: Gorilla Grodd, Cheetah, Captain Cold, Scarecrow and more!

E3 2017: Sub-Zero Battles Batman in Injustice 2 Trailer
The ice man cometh in Injustice 2 DLC gameplay trailer!

Sub-Zero is gearing up to embark upon a rematch with the DC Universe! 2017 marks the 25th Anniversary of Mortal Kombat and the franchise icon is renewing hostilities with the DCU as the first downloadable guest character in Fighter Pack 1! Watch the Sub-Zero trailer below:

Sub-Zero looks amazing, benefitting from twenty-five years of accumulated gameplay! The ice warrior brings many of his famous attacks to the Injustice battle arena, including freeze blasts, ice sliding, and ice clones! With the right meters, these attacks can even be enhanced -- setting up treacherous ice clone obstacles, tossing them as projectiles, or even sending an ice slide clone across the battlefield! Sub-Zero also hones a deadly array of ice swords and daggers - the complete Kombat package!

The Lin Kuei Grandmaster is scheduled for a tentative release in July. He follows this month's addition of Red Hood -- who can already be accessed as a playable character in the current Multiverse challenge!

Iconic Teen Titan Starfire will no doubt follow in the near future, with six more characters expected per recent silhouette teasers. Among the characters first alluded to in the Fighter Pack 1 trailer is Raiden -- Mortal Kombat's resident god of thunder!

Both MK guest fighters faced off against the superhero universe as part of 2008 franchise crossover Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe. Ed Boon has called a sequel unlikely.

Injustice 2 Teases Raiden, Atom, Black Manta & More
June update teases Raiden, Black Manta, Atom and Red Hood!

Injustice 2 has just received an update for June, and while its primary function has been to improve the overall gaming experience -- it's also updated the Character Select Screen with upcoming downloadable character Red Hood, and fresh teases for future characters!

EventHubs have featured a screenshot of the select screen [above], replete with silhouette placeholders for revealed Fighter Pack 1 characters Sub-Zero and Starfire, as well as six more mystery characters!

The distinct outlines of Black Manta and Mortal Kombat icon Raiden are easily spotted, much as they were in the Fighter Pack 1 trailer. A specifically diminutive figure seems to suggest iconic Justice League hero Atom!

Silver Age science hero Ray Palmer developed a method for shrinking himself after studying the properties of a white dwarf star. As Atom, he can condense his mass to deliver super-strong blows as a man of a few inches, enter small spaces as the size of an insect, or disappear from sight to ride the atoms of light and matter! Atom appeared in the Injustice comic tie-in, helping defeat Superman by entering his brain with a shard of kryptonite. He is an ally to Batman and the other resistence fighters.

The other silhouettes are more ambiguous, eliciting fan guesses of Enchantress, Circe, Katana, Huntress, Lady Shiva, Clayface and many more! Red Hood becomes the first downloadable addition from Fighter Pack 1 - this month!
