Injustice 2 Ninja Turtles Reveal This Week
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles leave the shadows this week!

Injustice 2 already has eight downloadable characters to choose from, but when the big reveal comes later this week, that number may round out to an even dozen!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were one of the most surprising character reveals of the three DLC Fighter Packs, leaving some of the most challenging questions for what seems to be last! Some answers may finally come Wednesday (February 7th), when the developer hosts a special Watchtower "pizza party" livestream. A much anticipated gameplay trailer will follow soon after.

The question of how players will control the quartet of Turtles is the most burning, partly teased in a screenshot posted by the venerable Ed Boon [above]. Raphael and Michaelangelo share the screen, with notably different gear, but are they switching out as part of a tag mechanic -- or fighting simultaneously?

NetherRealm last featured a full fledged Tag Team mode in 2011's Mortal Kombat, but played with a unique team style presentation for the collaborative Mortal Kombat X character(s): Ferra/Torr.

You have to go all the way back to 2004 to find the last time Tagging was a unique part of a character's arsenal: "Noob-Smoke" served as tag teaming sub-boss in Mortal Kombat: Deception. If the Ninja Turtles go down this route, will the player have two characters to summon - or four?

Incorporating the ninja brothers into special moves could be another way to bring them into the fight. That may explain the skateboard flying in Black Manta's general direction. It looks like all four Turtles will be in the spotlight, though. So will players be able to use a special menu, or Gear options, to pick their playable preference? Check out a couple more screenshots below:

Enchantress Takes Control in Injustice 2 Trailer
The Enchantress plays with Deadshot in first gameplay trailer!

Injustice 2 is bringing in the new year with the next gameplay spotlight trailer from Fighter Pack 3! The mystic menace of Enchantress is unleashed upon her Suicide Squad teammate Deadshot! Take a look:

June Moone stumbled upon an ancient mystic entity that bestowed upon her the power to summon The Enchantress! "The Switcheroo-Witcheroo" transforms from blonde innocent to black haired sorceress, tempted by Enchantress' darkness the more she calls upon her power!

The character debuted in 1966 in Strange Adventures #187, but is most well known for being an original member of the 1987 Suicide Squad. Though her powers helped the team out of many tight spots, the constant threat of Enchantress turning on her teammates was a major source of tension. Moone was eventually stripped of her powers, but repeatedly found herself drawn into the occult circles of the DC Universe.

Injustice 2 favours a modern take on the comic book witch, ignoring the less favoured version seen on the big screen. Her magicks promise to turn players agaisnt themselves with a range of possession techniques, summoning spells, and game-altering incantations!

Great Big Story Spotlight Voice of Shao Kahn: Steve Ritchie
Video article puts a face to Mortal Kombat II voice.

For fans who discovered Mortal Kombat in its earliest days, the voice of Steve Ritchie is definitive.

Ritchie's taunts emanated across the arcade floor with the release of Mortal Kombat II. The sequel took players into the purple-hued arenas of Outworld, where Ritchie presided over battle as the voice of Emperor Shao Kahn.

Kahn was physically portrayed in the game's live-action digitized sprites by bodybuilder Brian Glynn, whose impressive physique loomed over other characters. Great Big Story have illuminated the less visible half of the Shao Kahn creation in a short video spotlight. Watch it below:

Ritchie echoed many of the phrases made famous by the first game, but as the ultimate final boss, he also assaulted the confidence of players with a barrage of insults! Like his predecessor, he had praise for the strong during standard fights, but when the first round of the final battle began, players were promised death and failure.

The unique blend of modulated bass and smooth vocal qualities in Ritchie's performance gave Shao Kahn a real sense of character, but that wasn't the only villain he was known for. As the Great Big Story profile highlights; Ritchie's main body of work continues to bellow over the rattle and clang of pinball machines!

Pinball ties with Midway Entertainment date back as early as 1982, when Bally merged with the developer/distributor. Midway absorbed in-house pinball development in 1991 from Wililams, housing some of the arcades most successfull properties under one house!

Several of Mortal Kombat's earliest contributors worked on pinball projects. It was from that downstairs/upstairs divide that Steve Ritchie was recruited, becoming one of the best known voices in the Mortal Kombat legacy!

When The Disaster Artist Met Mortal Kombat
Tommy Wiseau made movies, played MK, but he did NOT hit Lisa!

In 2002, Mortal Kombat embarked upon an exciting new era for the series' first major release of the new millennium: Deadly Alliance.

Kombat was completely revolutionized with a diversified roster of distinct characters, all-new fighting style mechanics, and the unlockable treasure trove of The Krypt! They were exciting times for the fighting game dynasty, but by no means unique in their scope of ambition.

In 2003, the movie world was confronted with its own daring new take on the independent film drama. A movie so unconventional it tore the rule book apart, offering much to be discovered and unlocked within the confines of The Room.

If you haven't been part of the movie's growing cult following, and don't know who writer/director/star Tommy Wiseau is - you soon will!

Like Ed Wood before him; Wiseau has turned creative calamity into a curious case of cult stardom. He is himself the subject of a major biopic film release, but this is merely the extra thirty minutes to a full hour of fame achieved in the past. Oh hi, point to all this.

In 2010, The Room inspired a fan-made point-and-click Flash game that caught the attention of TIME and Wired. It was around that time that Machinima unleashed TW upon a wider gaming audience with The Tommy Wi-Show. At long last TW found his calling as a Mortal Kombat streamer. Be advised: some content may contain offensive language. Watch:

- James Franco Reads Video Game Lines as Tommy Wiseau
- Mortal Kombat: Special Forces - Final Boss (Kano)
- Jax - Mortal Kombat 4 Ending
- Federation of Martial Arts: Ermac vs Sonya - Round 1

Like so many of us; Wiseau is compelled to play Mortal Kombat by a mysterious alien overlord who demands online content, and better technique than hitting the kick button.

Playing the 2011 series reboot; TW is unfurnished with his preferred choice of vampire. Nitara was last seen in the playable roster several years earlier, in 2006's Armageddon. Thus; he opts for the frosty fighting style of Sub-Zero, before being forced to face Sonya with the fans of Kitana. He did not hit Lisa. Sonya did tear him apart.

In a bonus video, Tommy looked to Kabal to help him thwart infamous interloper Freddy Krueger. Like many hardcore MK fans, he seems unimpressed with the off-brand guest. When the horror icon is done eviscerating his opponent, Wiseau vows to win the next one. It is unlikely that he did. Navigate the playlist to load the videos above.

The Tommy Wi-Show wasn't the last the world would hear from the man who inspired what is now a New York Time's Best Seller! The Disaster Artist was a written account of The Room's troubled production by co-star Greg Sestero, and Tom Biselli. It is now also one of the most talked about movies of 2017, starring and directed by James Franco.

With the film has come a fresh wave of celebrity, and convenient excuses for MK Online to bridge the divide between Mortal Kombat and weird, tangential movie culture indulgences. Case-in-point: Franco has taken his impersonation on the road, promoting the movie with a series of Wiseau line-readings of classic game dialogue, for IGN. Watch out for MK near the end after some solid work:

Ed Boon is recognized by Guinness World Records for having gaming's longest continuous voice acting role. Yet, in a single moment, while channeling Tommy Wiseau's spirit (even though he's still mostly alive); Franco completely redefines Scorpion's famous catch cry for a whole new generation. MK Online declined to contact Ed Boon for comment.

The Disaster Artist is in theatres now. We hoped to hear news of Mortal Kombat's return to the big screen soon. Simon McQuoid is reportedly attached to direct.
