Even though the tweet doesn't mention KP2 it is probably the closest event of any kind that hardcore MK fans that would be willing to buy KP2 would tune in to.

Hopefully there is something. I don't really mind if there isn't anything until they are ready to announce it. It doesn't come out for months anyway so why do we need to know now?

To get people hype probably. No one is hype for KP2 right now and that's because they haven't shown shit. All we got was an announcement of an announcement when everyone was expecting character reveals. I'm fine with waiting until 2016 and i'm glad we're getting more support for the game, but I really hope they show us something here. Announcing it with ESL S2 would definitely bring the hype imo and ESL needs trailers to show so it makes sense if they were to reveal them here.

Not getting my hopes up though, if they show something it'll be great, if not I won't really be surprised.

The Who's Next? tag has been used for announcements unrelated for characters. The tweet specifically says ESL season 2. There's no reason to believe we'll get any info about KP2 next monday.

This makes the most logical sense, especially to target those still playing / paying attention to this game. Hopefully it is a reveal of sorts.

And as far as it being a good time to reveal KP2 news, i highly doubt it'll be then. 2016 is still a loooong ways away. And everyone still assumes it'll be JANUARY 2016, which I really don't believe. If we learned anything from the torturous reveals leading up to the game's release NRS is going to take their sweet, sweet time with this.

I don't necessarily think we're gonna get all of KP2 revealed at once. However, with that said, NRS are insane if they don't get all these characters out and shipped by SFV's release date as everyone of the casuals (and a small section of the fanbase) will effectively be jumping ship at that point.

I know they've made some insane, borderline stupid marketing decisions but are they really that brazen? Eh, I don't know.

I want to believe they'd go ahead and do two characters a month but they'll probably stick to one a month (Jan-April). Not just that but they'll want all of the characters out by late May as they, no doubt, will be prepping an Injustice 2 reveal for E3 next year and they will want all eyes on that, I'm sure.

They really need to stop bullshitting. MKX is the best selling title in the franchise so why continue dragging out reveals? Just reveal all four characters already. The hype of this game is over and this is more annoying than suspenseful.
