Hi,

Been a few years since I posted on here, probably before Armageddon came out.

Anyways, I'm still waiting for the PS3 version of the game to come out as I can no longer justify purchasing new consoles as I approach 30. Could someone give me an overview of the story, how it differs from mk4, how it concludes, what it sets up for the next game etc.

The story is, as you can guess my main interest in the franchise now as I rarely have the time to game.

Much appreciated for any help confused

It's all the cutscenes. There are no fights but you're gonna get a better idea of the story without anyone explaining. The opinions on the story are pretty divisive and I wouldn't want you to get a wrong idea of what the story actually is.

Don't read into this the wrong way, but as a 32 year old parent with a well-established career, gaming is still my #1 hobby. What is about approaching this stage in your life that makes you think you can't justify entertaining yourself?

Again, not meant to offend, I'm honestly just curious, since I threw around the idea of hanging up my controllers when I hit 30 as well.

Well I actually gave up gaming not long after the PS3 came out, I literally only turned it on when an mk or assassins creed game came out, and it only then stayed on long enough to complete the story modes. So for the frequency of gaming it's far too high a cost to fork out on new consoles. It was never a main hobby for me. I already spend a fortune on my season ticket for football (soccer) and entering tough mudders. My house extension too is costing me a fortune. So that's the short answer, hope it helps grin

Gotcha. The way you phrased, it almost sounded like one of those "I'm too old for gaming" statements. You're never too old to entertain yourself!

But I hear ya. Same deal - I bought the PS4 during Black Friday last year (thank you newegg on eBay!). I have only 4 games - MK, Alien, Shadows of Mordor and Batman. Those 4 games will last me the next 2 years, easily. Combination of time to play + work + house expenses and upkeep.

It's hard being a gamer when you grow up and have young kids. I don't play as much as I used it but only because I can't. With two and a half year old twin .netdaughters, I can fit between 1 and 2 hour during the day during naptime and 1 or 2 hours once they're gone to bed before I pass out from tiredness. I wake up early since I'm on my own most mornings(girlfriend works the night shift). And when my girlfriend is home... well she's no gamer so I don't play unless she let's me play or goes to bed.

I can't wait till my daughters are old enough to play. I made them play MKX and they thought is was hilarious to duck and jump.
