Mortal Kombat Online Version 7 Released!

VERSION 7 IS HERE!

Welcome to the Mortal Kombat Online Version 7 Preview Release! With the release this week of Mortal Kombat: Deception, we found it important that with the addition of online play in this new title, that we offer fans a true online experience. A foundation has been set and the goal to become the internet’s most trusted name of the Mortal Kombat Community has clearly been made. With Mortal Kombat: Deception out the door we are continuing to go the extra mile and build upon this site. A community has been established, however laid out below are some of the new Version 7 features that raise the bar in Mortal Kombat fan sites:

Does look nice though on ocassion, I keep getting some errors in the look. Like stuff being out of allignment and whatnot. No clue if that's a result of the fact I'm using Firefox or whatever but it is a tad bit annoying.

Modern & futuristic look is good.

The 1 thing i really hate is that we cannot open threads in a new window. Can only be opened in one window, so we have to click the back button or click the forum link again. Hopefully will be fixed

Did anyone's suggestions actually get added?
I suggested quite a few and none made the cut.

The design looks kind of okay.
Not much changed.

I like the internal picture page, and I also like the Jabber protocol addition.

But, it doesn't take a validator to tell me that this site isn't XHTML 1.1. :\
The page serves as text/html, and there is no way in hell the users of the forum (besides a few) are going ot learn XHTML just for this site.

Edit: It's been changed to XHTML 1.0, but it's still not valid.

Also, I just now noticed the linking system got worse, I still can't believe it.
I use to embrase the fact there were at least normal links in the forums, but now even that changed.
I fucking hate that.
Do people need to sign a petition to get rid of it or something?
Because I'd gladly create one...

Edit: CCS fixed this, partially, in the forums because I asked him.
Thanks again.

And another thing.
The footer overlaps the main section a lot of the times.
Bug?

So far it's been worth it just to see Hyuga's profile on the main page. Specificly his homepage. I'm sure there's going to be some interesting things popping up in that 'Mortal Kombat Online Featured User' space as time goes on.

Pretty cool. Buggy but I'm sure that is being worked on as we speak. Also the "RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:" in replies is a lil strange. It adds an "RE" to each post.

So far so good, tho I'd like to know what else a paid membership gets. So far it says u get the IM Jabber but anyone Warrior or above gets that too. What advantages are in the Flawless Account?

Damnit boy! There's a big ass button that says "Mortal Kombat: Flawless Account" at the bottom of the site, click it and it will tell you what all the "Flawless Account" has.

I'm diggin the new look, could use some black in it though (heres hoping to a noob-smoke theme) Running nice and fast now, I'm sure due to all the bugs being worked out. I was close to getting a little pissed when I heard about the pay-version, but I read it and you didn't remove anything we've already had access too, so good job there. (couple of other forum I use to love switched to a pay-version and took away some sections for the members only to get, thats a good way too piss a lot of people off!) So you guy did great there. In my oppinion this is the best the site has looked. Just need some themes to modify the colors.

Is anybody else having a problem with posts going beyond the footer at the bottom of the thread area? It's coming up quite a lot for me and it really is annoying the hell out of me.

The site keeps freezing for about 10 seconds everytime I click on a link and go to a different page or refresh, Is this just happening to me?

As for the new look of the site, well it's not bad but I liked the other better.

Hey JAX,

The reason that is happening is that you are using IE (correct me if I am wrong). Because Internet Explorer has a problem with many CSS related things, among them transparent images, a piece of code has to be run every time you load a page to fix them. If you don't want to have this wait, simply go to Mozilla.org and download Firefox, which does not have these problems. Otherwise, I'm sorry that you have to endure the wait, but so do I, as I use IE too
