There were just glitches in that whole interview. Kabal uppercutted Jax from about 5 feet away.

huh, I was expecting him to be more scarred. I would prefer it if his face looked more like it did in MK3, but it's not a big deal. Kabal is looking like an awesome character in this game, I'm sure I'll have plenty of good fights against a friend of mine who used Kabal in Trilogy.

I see this happening in an intense match if he gets the mask damaged to a certain degree. I believe the MK3 scare fatality was really an overexaggeration of Kabal's scarred face. Maybe he doesn't look like such a monster after all.
