If the damage from the X-Ray moves was meant to be taken literally, every X-Ray would kill the opponent. If you received a skull fracture, you'd either be dead or unconscious.

The creators are pretty good about distinguishing which elements are suppose to be realistic and which elements are purely aesthetic. Unless they're explicitly trying to be realistic, I don't mind details like Cage's glasses.

Cage should have a move where he crushes his own sunglasses, blames the other guy for it, and his next Nut Punch or Shadow Kick will do more damage.

I love the tattoo and sunglasses! It makes vanity a new thing in MK.

I only wished you could hit the glasses and then it would hit the floor and johnny could pick them up again (if they aren't broken) just like Vega in Streetfighter with his claw and mask.

there not always on. Sometimes during the gameplay they break part where it looks like hes wearing only half of them, and other times his sunglasses are completly gone. (with the applied force from the other person ofcourse)


but in anycase, im sure they'll be gone after the match it over lol. Besides whocares, there sunglasses, it was his "signature move" since MK1. I like it.

Maybe because its on a next gen. console, and as the creators and team of MK they can use this new technology to do whatever the hell they want to make their vision of MK a reality. He can have a tattoo and glasses, because this system allows them to.

I don't like the tattoo more than anything Cage related. I'm not against tattoos, I have many myself...however, I wish it was more original than his first name stamped on his chest. I get it, he's so into himself he gets a tattoo of his name...but no.

Yeah. Sunglasses are pretty much the best thing.

I like Cage to wear his sunglasses while fighting. I think it suits his cocky image.

p.s. I also like seeing Kitana & Mileena in high heels as well. I don't care how unrealistic it may be

I haven't checked but wouldn't beating the shit out of Cage make his Sunglasses break a bit? It's a good reason to make him have them on in the first place.

Exactly. Arguing realism in video games is a waste of time. It's not reality...its a video game.
Johnny Cage's whole character concept is being this over the top Hollywood VanDamme inspired douchenozzle...but likeable. He's supposedto be a cheeseball character, you either take it or leave it.

I mean you can tell the Devs had some fun designing him (what with his fuckin awesome scrotum blaster split punch) so, getting bent out of shape about his sunglasses is a bit...eh...well pointless.

He looks cool and its definitely part of his charisma. I would actually be pretty sad if he didn't have them on for at least one costume.

Also, the glasses do take damage, which will be fun to watch as well.
