I'm picking up a PS3 with MK VS DC come next week. I'm well aware that the Fatalities have been toned down, but that 'wow' aspect dropped after I was 5. I prefer solid gameplay over tedious violence any day (although in case, it appears I'll have both).

Don't get me wrong, I HATED the idea of this game as soon as it was announced. But then it became obvious that the tone would remain dark (well, as much as a game featuring DC characters can), and they stuffed as much violence in a 'T' rated game as possible, so I'm sold. Did I mention the gameplay looks stellar as well?

Yes. There are somethings I don't care for in the game.
But story Mode looks awesome and I think I'll enjoy it.

i never really outright hated the game. there are still a lot of things i don't like about this game but i'm interested in the story mode and i want to play with a good jax and sonya again.

I am getting this game. I pre-ordered it for the 360 even though I do not yet own a 360.

I will be getting my 360 this week. I am buying a video game system specifically to play MK vs DCU, which I suppose makes me the exact opposite of the topic creator.

come on it's not all about the fatalities in this game. if it was i wouldn't have got MKA. i love to fight. most of the times i have no idea how to do the fatalities, but i still play the game.

i am getting the Kollectors edition for ps3. i don't even own a ps3 yet. lol.

Ahnka's pretentiousness knows no bounds. I'll be getting this game for my PS3 because this game looks to be the best MK game from a gameplay perspective in years.

Defiantly getting it.

I absolutely FLIPPED OUT at the announcement of this game. I still feel a huge disappointment every time I think that we didn't get an actual MK sequel in next-gen, a continuation and reinvention of the storyline, 'dark and gritty', etc., etc.

But there's still things about this game that make me want to get it, particularly the improved gameplay and the chance to play with a practically perfect Sonya (I've been yearning for this one little thing ever since MKDA, so of course I'm not passing up this chance!) So you can thank her for me getting this game, I don't think I would if she'd been excluded for some reason...

And besides, I bought MKA despite its chaotic lack of... EVERYTHING. At least this game has improved gameplay and unique fatalities (even toned down they're way better than KAF).

So yeah, PS3 version Sunday, unless they run out of stock, which I don't think will happen.

I'll be getting it for the PS3. Maybe not on launch, but no doubt the following week after. I expect great things from this game since the last few games have been a big disappointment.

I'm getting it. The gamplay appears to be half decent and story mode will thrash the arse off of any other fighting game story mode ever.

There is effort and love in this game.

I'll just rent it.... whenever i get a ps3.

Actually its more like Effort and fear of getting reamed by WB with higher licensing fees if the game gets piss poor reviews.... and there's probably a little love in there

All that and Midway resting its entire financial future on the success of this game since Blitz and TNA already blew it.

I own a PS3 since March 2007, and MK vs DCU was not the reason I got one. Far from it.
At first I hated the crossover. Then the more I watched, I started to like it and then, after seing all these lame fatalities, same trailers, same moves,...I will probably rent it to see if it is worth my time and money. I have a feeling that this game will get old fast.
