Looking for Opponent match making

My friend and I are playing Mortal Kombat XL and Looking for opponent has been on the screen for 15-20 minutes without a sign of progress. Ranked match Team Battle 3v3 with the Looking for Opponent under it. Is this normal? Or is it a game issue?

this happend to me last year when I was playing the previous version
