The original Subzero would defeat Scorpion. They only encountered one another 3 times. The 3rd time was no fight but a sneak attack in the first tournament. Looking back in Mythologies Sub killed him in Combat when both were hired by Quan Chi. Than when he was sent to the Netherealm to retrieve the amulet subzero defeated scorpion again in his spectre form. He fought many powerful warriors stronger than Scorpion and beat them while tracking down the amulet. if subzero can beat them than he can definitely beat Scorpion. As for the younger brother it can go either way.

He did a great job controlling the fight in the MKA intro...
I think they both should kill each other at the same time. Good riddance.

I would hate to see Subby die.... I'd get over it quickly though...

It has come to my attention that I should explain my stance on this issue rather than letting my previous posts in similar threads speak for me ala a friend of mine.
I'm not much of a fan of Mythologies' story because I don't think the original Sub-Zero should have beaten that many people. Hanzo Hasashi, sure. But Fujin, Quan Chi, and Shinnok? That's going a bit too far for my tastes. I probably shouldn't say this but I like to exclude Mythologies when considering the original Sub-Zero's prospects of winning because if you do consider Mytholgies, he has WAY too much credit. The way I see it, original Sub-Zero wasn't as good as the second and wasn't as good as Scorpion. Sub-1 beats Hanzo Hasashi, but not Scorpion.
As for the second Sub-Zero, that one's a lot more even. On one hand, the two come from ninja clans that are very similar so their styles, despite what Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon say, might be similar. Furthermore, Sub-Zero has gained considerable power from his Dragon Medallion and Cryomancer Armor whereas Scorpion has seemingly grown more and more powerful over the course of the games and may still have some of that extra power that he got from his time tormenting Quan Chi in the Netherrealm prior to Deadly Alliance. Although every cinematic that Mortal Kombat makes these days would have you think that Sub-Zero is the better of the two, I would say that they are really evenly-matched. Their skill is probably on the same level and their power is equal too. Individually though, Sub-Zero seems to have more powers than Scorpion in the sense that he can make things out of ice, freeze people, make ice clones, etc. while Scorpion is an absolute monster in battle in the sense that he goes at you with everything that he has and fights dirty. If Sub-Zero wants to win, he would have to keep his distance and try to throw in some well-placed counter attacks to break Scorpion down. Scorpion on the other hand, would have to assault Sub-Zero with everything that he has and try to beat him senseless. Seeing as how Scorpion's a spectre and Sub-Zero is mortal, my guess is that Scorpion can outlast him. In summation, it's a very even fight but statistically speaking, I'm siding with Scorpion.
But in the end, none of these statistics really matter because both ninjas win. They don't get a tournament victory, god-like power, or even a trophy though they do get something even better than all of those things: a soul mate. I just bought the "Evil Tower 1 Sketch" from Armageddon's Krypt and it shows a chunk of the tower being sucked into a portal with Scorpion and Sub-Zero standing on the ledge of what remains of their fighting ground, watching what could have happened to them. Looking towards the bottom of the picture, you can see the two holding hands...Sorry, that wasn't delievered very well.
HOLDING HANDS!
Perhaps all of this fighting was just a cover-up for fear of what the rest of the MK roster would think...Heh heh heh, ScorpionxSub-Zero!
PS- This post isn't bashing anyone that happens to be gay and I didn't say, or mean to say, anything that would indicate any such behaviour.
PS2- My money on MK's gay couple being StrykerxJax.

I do count Mythologies cuz its part of the storyline. And he did beat Scorpion Twice. the second subyy is more powerful now because of the meddalion. but if the first subby had it he'd be in the same boat as his younger brother is now

I know Mythologies has cannocity to it....I just wish they didn't give Sub-Zero such an unrealistic push. I mean, he beat four gods, Quan Chi, Shinnok, and the guy who would later on kill him. MK has a real problem admitting who is and isn't powerful and playing up on said power when it's needed...they also have a problem comitting to one person being better than another as seen by how Scorpion was able to kill Sub-Zero in the first MK. With ease if that comic book is any indication.

Of course, there's the gray area concerning whether or not Scorpion would reform right where he died or if he'd come back somewhere else (Most likely the Netherrealm). I remember when Quan Chi killed him in Deadly Alliance, that was the last Scorpion saw of him as he couldn't find him throughout the rest of the game. Maybe that was because Quan Chi didn't stay at Shang Tsung's palace and left Scropion behind or if my Netherrealm theory is correct.
So, if Scorpion does respawn in the Netherealm (As previous games would indicate), I doubt that his immortality would come into play.
Of course, I still think Scorpion would win...

As funny as something like that sounds, I'm not sure if it really makes Scorpion the winner. I'm looking at just a single one-on-one match between the two and if one of them dies, they lose that fight regardless of their immortality. While your way would eventually see Scorpion raising his own hand as the winner, that would be more of a storyline than a fight. You don't win a battle just because you have more soldiers that can come back to that place later. If you lose a battle, you lose a battle. You may be able to come back later and win the war, but once a battle is over that's it. Same exact thing here.
PS- Sorry about the double-post. When I was writing the first one, it took a while to submit it so I stopped the page from loading and wrote what is now the second post. I went back to the discussion before posting to make sure my first one didn't get out and the page told me that it didn't so I posted. My bad

If you wanna put it like that Scorpion is undead. he is not immortal. he can still be killed. Also whoever he made a deal with to return to earth can alwaysdecide his fate and say he wants to torture Scorpion the rest of eternity he can do that.

lmao! Your argument is hardly legitimate. You have no idea how much of an imbecilic asshole they've turned Scorpion into.

Carnivore did make a funny argument though...Heh heh heh

But seriously, am I the only one that likes post-MK3 Scorpion? When I look at Scorpion, I don't think honor...he's too mad to have any of that. I like the Scorpion that seeks revenge, is a brutal fighter, and doesn't start crap with anyone unless they get in his way? And before you go saying that he does start crap with people, in Armagedon he only went after Taven because the Elder Gods needed him to prevent Armagedon and Scorpion wanted revenge on the Elder Gods (This little plan of his makes him seems smarter than what I thought he was...). Then his little fiasco in Shaolin Monks...well, can anyone consider Shaolin Monks even slightly cannonical? I mean, if Kitana killed Mileena in MK2, then why did Mileena beat her up throughout all of SM? Moral of the story, Scorpion doesn't start crap with anyone that he doesn't have a beef with and I like that about him.
