Hello, I am new here, but I am a huge mk fan. I am too poor to purchase a ps4 or xbox one. So i was just curious if the xbox 360 version's graphics would be decent? Any one know? I sure hope so because that's the version I'll be getting! Thanks in advance!

We're not sure yet, that said I'm sure they'll be close to as perfect as they can be for the 360. I wouldn't have any worries. I'll probably be getting the 360 version myself.

it is not a known thing yet. it is hard to tell really but it should be similar to the graphics difference of Battlefield 4 on Xbox1 vs Xbox360. The real difference is going to be in particle effects.
But just for anyone thinking about making the leap to next gen for MKX. I did a quick calc out and less than 19 dollars put a way per week would be more than enough to get the console and game at release. That is assuming a price drop doesnt happen between now and then.
PS while doing that calculation I realized that we still have over 6 months to go til released and got instantly depressed.

This is a good question. There has been no word on this front. All that we know about the last gen ports of MKX are that they are being developed by a different developer. Who knows what will have to be crunched or compromised.
I too considered getting the last gen version of the game until I heard the news about those versions being developed separately. I just don't want to play another team's version of MKX. There's also issues of things like disk space that could play a huge factor, causing modes, features, or characters being outright cut from the game, as has happened with other recent games.
Hopefully for the last gen guys, those versions won't be too butchered. I'd like to get some clarification on that as well.

6 months and 6 days for game release!

Thank you for the calculation, but unfortunately even though I'm a truck driver who works 65 hours a week and brings home 42k a year, that's still a hard chunk of change to set aside when you have a wife, 2 dogs, a cat and a fish and a frog to feed everyday! 60 for the game alone sounds a tad bit easier to conjur up.

The stuff we're seeing isn't all that impressive, water shader aside
it will look about the same and run at 720p or lower

Like I said, it's very possible that modes, features, and/or characters could be cut, unfortunately. It's far from unheard of.

To guess what the graphics could possibly look like would be to take example of the previous game the company worked on.
And that would be "Injustice: Gods Among Us".
If anything, it will look like that. So there you go.
If you never played the game, then download the demo from the Xbox Live Marketplace on your console to experience it.

I'm sure the graphics will be at least on par with MK2011's PS3 and 360 graphics

It's going to look better than MK9, but not nearly as good as the X1 and PS4 versions. So don't worry.
For a predicition, my best comparison may be what GTA5 is to the xbox360 versus xbox one.
Don't expect 60fps
The graphics engine will be the same, but don't expect the same detail level in textures
Fatalities may be toned down, due to the new engine that was developed for them.
Less environment detail, like blowing dust or less dynamic rain/snow
Lighting engine won't be as great.
They will look similar, but the differences will be noticeable.

60fps will be their top priority. a fighting game at anything lower would be insane.
Will the differences be $460 dollars noticeable though, that's the question.
I hope we get some media showing the differences the closer to launch we get. But I just wish we'd get some updates now from Boon or NRS on how the PS3/360 versions are progressing....if they look incredible, if anything is having to be sacrificed, etc.
I hear ya TC. I'm pretty concerned about what the final differences will be, too.

I hear ya. The fact is that the port for PS3 abd 360 is quite far behind what it is for current gen consoles, since they are being developed by a different company using NRS' assets where/when available.
Like I said, modes and features/characters could be cut altogether due to space issues. We just wont know till closer to launch. But since NRS is focusing on next gen consoles, those platforms will get more than PS3 and 360, unfortunately.
60 FPS is a must for all consoles...even the PS VITA version of MK9 runs at 60 FPS. That being said, if I did not own the latest gen of consoles (ps4, XBone) I would be worried based on Ed's response to question about last gen versions. NRS is not going to be working on it, he wasn't sure what would be different, and he stated this gen is the team's priority. I think MK9 and Injustice still look great so hopefully it will work out.

Boon Confirms:
"@BrettGrissom @noobde @Xzero_Lojik does anyone know if mkx will run 60 fps on all consoles or just next gen EB: We dona39;t do 30.

Like I said before, MKX will look great on the 360/PS3- of course the current gen systems will look much better but that's a no brainer anyway. 360/PS3 players will be fine.

If you want to wait 6 months after its console release, sure.

Oh my. I couldn't even wait a week for the Xbox version of MKA. I literally went out and brought a PS2 just so I could get MKA on the day of release. Sad, I know. LOL

Sad? :D it's just being a fan.
I went to the shop in 2011 and said ,,I want a mortal kombat for x360, and a x360 with it."
And i will probably do the same with mkx and the x1.
