Personally I hope that MK's reboot series was short for "your favorite fighters are going to die and new fighters will replace them...so it goes." It could go one or two ways though... It could be a GREAT business decision as lots of fans would buy the game and the DLC to play as their favorites. However it could be very bad as lots of casual fighting gamers would say "Hey, this game doesn't have so and so in it...I'm not going to buy it. Time will tell....

OR or...we could just have...the dead characters as...get this...ready?

The thought of new characters replacing the klassics makes me sick to my stomach, making them paid DLC in future games makes me want to rip out my guts with a wooden spoon.

I'd rather not be fucking nickel and dimed for anything. Costumes are acceptable, I suppose, but in general DLC characters can be a very risky business. Never forget the SFxT backlash.

I think they would be foolish.not.to.have multiple classic kharacter packs. With so many new kharacters coming to this game. We're gonna be missing alot of those khatacters n im sick.of hearing ppl complain about dlc. It adds more deptg to the game. They can only work on the game for so long n with mk9 they said it took them 2 months to make one kharacter. Ppl should stop being so greedy n b thankful they r able to add more to the games these days. U hear pplwhining about iI wish this person was in or this stage,well now they r able to do that. Ppl seem to forget how many millions of dollars it cost to make a game these days n how much time they put into it. This game looks like the game we've all been waiting for n im all for supporting boon n the rest of the team. This is a great franchise n I cant wait to see what the rest of the game is like

Really depends on the price. But most likely, I'd wait for the Ultimate Edition.

As someone stated earlier I wish it were more along the lines of classic fatalities, stages, I can even live with costumes, but Characters meh.

As far as my experience with downloadable characters I don't particularly care for it. I don't like how it was done with MK 2011. Although they stepped it up with the downloadable characters in Injustice I still feel like there was a sense of lacking. It comes off to me as we get the character and nothing else.

To answer the question, I would probably buy the content. I hate not having all the extras. Buying the content also in my eyes gives me the right to complain about it, if I'm not satisfied.

That's what I'm doing with Batman Arkham Origins...and quite possibly Batman Arkham Knight.

As for MK, I'm not so sure I can control myself...coz if they have a killer Kollector's Edition, then I have no choice but to get it once it comes out
