i mean think about it games like King of Fighters, Street Fighter, and many more gave kept it 2d what about MORTAL KOMBAT!!!! think about it! ofcourse it would will be improved. duh! I bet it would be bigger than all the 3d animation ones! better music more creepy, serious and more gore! keep it old school guys at least on more game that will never get old!wow

There have been 3D Street Fighters and King of Fighters. But you are generally correct Bureaucrat reaver.

It could happen. MK Vs DCU felt more 2D than 3D and there does seem to be a general shift to 2D fighting games now. What with a new King of Fighters, BlazBlue and Battle Fantasia amongst others maybe a 2D MK could happen with 3D graphics.

Utterly no.

I would not want a backward evolutionary dead end for a mechanism for a fighting game. Then again, my opinion surmounts to nothing, as do fighting games.
