Will Kotal Kahn be alive in future games?

After seeing the story trailer and Kotal Kahn being kicked off a tower by Rain, I'm scared of seeing Kotal go.

Will he still be alive for future MK games? I'm better with him suited as the rightful ruler of Outworld to bring peace if Onaga ever comes back somehow.

The fall from the tower hardly damaged him. If Mileena can take the same fall and still fight, so can Kotal.

I'm sure he'll be around for a game or two, if not more. He has that badass aura that people tend to like.

After he gets dethroned, Kotal Kahn just takes out his ancient astronaut jetpack, straps it on his back, turns it on, and flies away into the sunset until another game comes.

I'm sure he will, he is (imo) one of the better new characters the team has created after MK3/UMK3/MKT, so I don't think he'll get put in the trash can anytime soon, or ever. He might die, but he wont be somebody that just gets ignored for the most part like Kai or Kira.

Kotal seems to be a major part of the story, so I'm sure he'll continue to play an important role in future games. Besides, death means nothing in MK and MKX really drives that point home.
