Will Jax get a Stryker variant?
Hey, we've just found out Kitana will have a variant based on Jade, so why couldn't Jax get a variant based on Stryker? Jax was already quite similar to him in MK:DA, and he has a long history with guns.
Who's better to help maintain the illusion that these deaths in MK9 had a major impact on the storyline by keeping them dead than someone like Stryker, after all?

I hope Jax get NONE variation, only that being just as dead as Jade.

As in not very?
And if that is indeed Jax we are seeing with wishful squinting eyes through those distorted shadowed images. Then I really hope they don't do that to Stryker too. But if they are willing to do that to Jade then I would say it's likely.
it would honestly make no sense for Jax to have a stryker varation. They weren't even friends they were associates at best.
Kitana has a Jade variation to honor her best friend who was like a Sister to her. Kitana is keeping Jade's legacy alive because she loved her.

I'm pretty sure NRS won't go overboard with the tributes.
Kitana/Jade is enough. And that one actually makes sense.

First of all, Jax is not in the game as of yet. One measly picture that is shown that many are speculating is Jax doesn't say anything other than pure speculation. Not to mention, I honestly don't see it as Jax.
Secondly, just because one character has been mentioned to honor her friend's death and is using their signature weapon doesn't mean more characters are going to be doing the same exact thing. We have yet to see any character having something similar towards another character, so why should another character, who by the way, had hardly interacted with Stryker to begin with, have a variation to "honor" the death of another?

Implying he's in, which is unlikely, imo. Maybe Jaqui can get a variation reminiscing of Jax moveset.

Much more into this idea.

Particularly also believe that Jade is not the only character Variation merged into the other.
I believe that:
Smoke will be the Noob Saibot.
Cyrax is the Sektor.
Jax will be Jackie.
And Baraka will be Mileena.

When I said a Stryker variant, I wasn't saying it was one in homage of a character, but just as a gameplay thing. Grenades and guns would make sense for Jax.
You know, I wouldn't be surprised if the moves of other dead/missing characters were given to someone else. Kano's got wrestling moves and a chest implant, two of Hsu Hao's things. I could see Goro have a variant adding moves of Sheeva and/or Kintaro if only one or neither of them returned. Goro's been borrowing moves from them since MK4, and it's only in MK9 that Goro finally regained his individuality.
