Why is Smoke calling himself Enenra?

Yeah I got it is a throwback at his ending... But why Smoke is saying it in his undead form as something have happened or he actually is someone new?

What would that mean if he have been revived as well? Has something happened in the Netherrealm to him?

Seems somehow strange... The other undeads haven't called them by other names

It would seem that Smoke has gone into his Enenra form, in terms of mindstate.

To be honest, It's welcome. I look forward to possibly seeing him as "Enenra" in the next game with his demon form.

But why? maybe because he actually died the demon took over?

Really interesting in this one... But sadly we have to wait for DLC or whatever

Probably this, last time the enenra took over was when he was sacrificed as a child.

Well but Enenra was said to be a bodyless creature just being smoke... Undead Smoke had a normal body

Either the enenra is in his mind and only assuming his form while he uses his powers or they didn't want to create a new costume for an unplayable character, I prefer to pick the first option and thank them they at least kept their new lore and referenced it.

So did his actual appearance change at all? Or is he just his MK9 self but revenantized?

He's his MK9 alt, but with gray/black skin and yellow eyes.

Assuming these are him? To be honest...he looks really awesome lol I hope he retains this costume in his next playable appearance (along with a better move setgrin)
