Scorpion is a more interesting character, but Sub-Zero is the better warrior. For crying outloud, unless I'm mistaken Subby (younger) is still breathing and actually gets the job done and moves on with his life. Where as Scorp has been seeking revenge for how long?

OK, to sum up things, Sub-Zero is pathetic gameplay wise since MK4-MKDA. On the other hand, Sub-Zeros story got speed, what Scorpion lacked untill MKD. Besides, Sub-Zero is a better warrior, since he is alive.

You're not going to get a definate answer. Ed Boon's favorite character is Scorpion, but I think he knows if Scorpion beat Subby at his prime then alot of people would be upset. To make things fair, they're equally as good only with different powers and personalities.

it depends on what you define as "better" because scorpion is more powerful (CHAMPION of the elder gods) and subby has a better storyline. i personally like sub-zero more.

Scorpion did kill him originaly which would only be logical to say that scorpion is stronger but you have to put the factors into play:

When scorpion killed Sub-zero he was a spectre and basically could come back any number or times. With that advantage if i am correct Sub-zero was a mortal and still gave scorpion a run for his money in that battle. If Scorpion was not a spectre and still mortal i doubt he could kill sub-zero in his human form. and i would say Sub-zero is better.

If your talking about now then its subzero2 with dragon medallion vs supercharged scorpion. With that power boost from the Elders making him strong enough to strike down Onaga which a god and two sorcerers couldnt do i would have to say right now Scorpion would win over Sub-zero...if you mean Noob who is(maybe depending on if its canon) the original sub-zero...i still say scorpion because of his new powers. So in MKD i would say Scorpion is better or should i say stronger.


If scorpion wasnt supercharged by the elders in MKD then i would say original sub (noob) is better because though he lost as i explained above, he has gotten stronger and moved up in status from a normal character to Sub-Boss. Yes smoke is aiding him but though he lost his kori powers we see in Noob now he still retains that "nothing can stop me" mentality only more dark.


If it was Subzero2 with medallion vs Scorpion not supercharged. I honestly would say subzero2. His aquirement of the medallion and his awakening of his roots (armor) has made him stronger mentally, physically and magically. Scorpion however has not...still bent on revenge and if not for the Elders aiding him he would just be the same scorpion. There are several factors to place in a battle with Sub and Scorpion not to mention which sub-zero you are placing against him. In anycase there are senarios which favor either side. I think you have to be more clear as to which sub-zero and whether or not scorpion is aided by the Elders or not. Or if its original sub vs mortal scorpion....you see what im talking about.

You're forgetting that Sub-Zero has more then just the dragon medallion, he now also has more power with the new armor he wears. If you read his ending his armor spoke to him and gave him even more power to destroy the tartakan's that attacked him. Sub-Zero and Scorpion are equal.

Gameplay wise, scorpiin is simply the better character. his spear sets the character up for a free hit and brings your opponent to you, where sub seros freeze move just imobilizes him. and also, scorpion can teleport, and has the speed.

storywise, sub zero dies in the first tournament, remember that. but i know you all mean his brother, also named sub zero, and hes a good character, too, but unlike scoripon, sub zero can die. and theyve completely ruined both stories (scorp and sub) it was the best when scorpion was there to kill sub zero, and sub zero was there to assassinate shang tsung....now scorpion is the champion of the elder gods--A GOOD GUY, and sub zero found some heritage of his and is ripped apart by noob and smoke...ah, the good times

most likely, that didnt happen. he wasnt even wearing his new armor when that happened, and we all know that he wouldnt take off his armor after just finding it.

its hard for me to say cuz really both of them are equal in power they both have attacks that counter one another scorpions teleport to sub's ice clone and the freeze ball to the spear both are really cool but im drawn to subzeros style but i cant help to be drawn to scorpion as well buh if i had to pick one itll be subzero....anyways didnt scorpion find out that his family and clan was killed by quon chi it seemed to me that he dropped his feud with subzero and when did scorpion become a specture agian i thought he was given new life by shinok in mk4? also when and why did smoke and noob attack subzero to me i think subzero is more powerful then either of them

But Scorpion has actually changed a bit. Thanks to MKD, I think his story will finally change and go in a different direction (even though I think it sucked!)

I can't stand Scorpion. So of course I will go with Subbie. Character design, moveset and storywise, I think he's alot more interesting and just an overall better made character.
