Basically anyone from the 3d era who wasn't in mk9. No Fujin, kai, reiko, or havik yet. I hope at least 1 one of them makes it I and most likely it will be Fujin.

I think the only 'surprise' cuts at this point are gonna be the majority of the MK3 fighters. They'll be cut in favor of 2-3 post-Trilogy characters and newbies. The rest will be the likes of Mileena, Shang, ect.

I would be pretty surprised if Mileena or Shinnok were not in the game on launch.

Mileena, Baraka, and at least one of the two cyborgs will make it, of that I am certain. So, if one of them didn't make it I'd be very surprised. At this point it is very clear that MK9 characters have priority, especially the ones who survived.

As for the 3D era characters, I fear we won't see half as many of them as we expect. Something tells me there's a probability they might even exclude Shinnok which would be the first major disappointment for me so I'm expecting two, three 3D era characters maximum. They might add one or two more as DLC.

Agreed about Shinnok. Sure, back in June, Shinnok, Fujin, Tanya ect all seemed like potential locks for this game but now that we're down to the wire and the game is going to be out in 2 or so months even the most popular 3D era characters chances are seeming extremely foggy. I really wouldn't be surprised if Shinnok is simply an NPC character early in the story and has no other relevance.

As of now my money is on maybe 2 3D era characters- Bo'Rai'Cho and maybe Fujin. They've been rumored as of late. Kenshi is also a huge possibility. Everyone else, sadly, I doubt have a chance. Tanya might could make it in as DLC. Maybe.

Bo Rai Cho, Fujin, and Havik. Man I will be so sad if they don't make it in the game.

Strangely enough, Kenshi.

He's the only non Quan-Chi character from the 3D era that they keep in the MK family so it would be weird if they dropped him, though definitely possible. He's really the only all-star representing that era at this point.

NRS could actually get away with excluding Cage, Sonya, Liu, Jax, Mileena, Baraka and Shang Tsung so they're all on the bubble.

As far as MK 3 goes, it will most likely be Cyrax and/or Kabal. All the others, don't hold your breath. Complaint letters won't exactly be flowing in if they skip on Sindel/Sheeva/Nightwolf/Stryker.

Shang Tsung, Smoke and Cyrax are maybes/surprises.

Everyone else is unlikely, as far as MK9 goes. Everyone from the 3D games is unlikely, except maybe Fujin, Bo' Rai Cho and Shinnok, since they've actually been acknowledged somewhat.

Also, I ruled them out initially, but now that Ermac is in, I think Noob and/or Smoke are just around the corner. I was kinda hoping they wouldn't have the ninja parade this time around and settle for the original threesome, but oh well, so be it if it's the case.

Mileena, Frost, and Tanya are just about all that I can think of, aside from Kira.

Mileena: The only known opposition to Kotal in the civil war, aside from maybe D'Vorah although we're not sure if she'll turn on him or not. Plus she has a new outfit in the MK comics, always a sign.

Fujin: Seeing as how he had potential to be in MK9 judging by the 'Fujin Wins' leak, you'd think he'd have a solid spot in MKX. Boon did say a long time ago there'd be another MK4 character.

Mr Cage: Not that I believe Sonya will die, but I feel like he could be made more different to Cassie than Sonya would. Also, if the live-series casting leak is accurate, he leads a little Special Forces group with Cassie, Kenshi, and Takeda. He'd be more in the action than Sonya, who seems to be Earthrealm's ambassador.

And then not as surprised-

Tanya's relevance to MK4 was helping Shinnok invade Edenia. If Edenia isn't Shinnok's target, Tanya could be dismissed altogether. I doubt this'll be the case but there's always a chance.

Shinnok will be a boss at some point in time. The main gripe with him during MK4 was that he was playable so it diminished his 'threat value' as a boss, so maybe they'll leave him for DLC.

Sareena to some degree, she is part of the Brotherhood of Shadow.
