i do b-cuz since alot people in mk r usually pissed off and usually when people r pissed they curse. since scorpion is always in a bad mood they should make him curse. and it always gets boring in konquest mode when u hit a regular person them they wuld have a response like ''y did u hit me.'' or if u hit scorpion he wuld say ''my clan will see u dead''. he shuld say ''hit me again or i will rip ure f-in head off.

wut do u think?

Don't really know. MK is not really a vocal game, so I'm not sure whether it would really fit, or end up like Jax's MKDA speech, a pain in the arse. Personally, I see no real reson to include foul language, even though it is supposedly an "adult" game.

I agree with just about everyone else who responded, what's the pointconfused? For some games strong language is just a given, like BloodRayne, it fits the whole mood of the game. But MK just never struck me as the type to go dropping F-bombs. Even though some of the characters are in a constant state of pissed off, it wouldn't sound right for them to bust out with foul language.

I would like to see the characters talk in Kombat mode, but strong language is not a necessity. Although, I wouldn't mind it if it was in it.

Scorpion doesn't need to swear. Swearing would actually lower his Character to a more earthly, non Hellish level. It would be laughable; Scorpion is far more intimidating(yes, in a slightly cheesy OTT way) and kool, currently, than He would ever be if He cursed all the time...

As for other Characters... what's the point? This isn't The Getaway, or GTA, this is Mortal Kombat; it has a nice dark mood of over theatrical stories and cheesy, over the top ninjas! ......It definately does not need a profanity booster shot!

BTW: Just my opinion, but NO!grin

Well you see, I mean you just got to look at it from a different point of view. Look, talking trash would make it more of a wrestling game, and they don't really have that much talking so just what I think if Scorpion says like F-U then he breaks his past as the Strong, Silent, Angry, Brtual, killing machine that we know and love

I think strong language technology is what will set MK(future) apart from the rest of the video games...if done correctly, it can stand out as a totally unique and fun video game.....(I repeat...if done skillfully)

no strong language but maybe in konquest the characters should be more intimidating like maybe if you hit mileena or baraka or some of the more vicious characters tey should make threats like "ill rip your stomach open" not pussy shit like "why did you hit me"

Def Jam had strong language that worked really well. But MK doesn't look like the game that would use something like that. I just want them to have some taunts at the begining of each round like other fighting games. Well, now that I think about it, there are a few people who would use strong language in the game as a taunt. Guys like Kano, Jarrek, Movado, Kira, and Kobra look like they would say stuff like that. But over all, there aren't too many people who'd use profanity.

Here are just some lines i thought that some characters could say.

Kobra "Bitch you're mistaken if you think you can stand with me"

Kano "The Black Dragon has a way of dealing with punk asses like you"

Movado "A piece of low level trash like you isn't even worthy of licking my boots"

Smoke "Leave, before I loose my sanity"

Scorpion "When I'm done, your entrails will decorate the floor"

Drahmin "Mmm, fresh meat. Enough to wet any Oni's hunger"

Shang Tsung "You soul is mine"

Jax "Hope you like the tasteof my fist in between your eyes "

Goro " I'm going to rip you into peices and scatter you all over the floor"

Hotaru "By order of the Dragon king, and rule of Seido, I place you under arrest"

If they had "oh f**k" or "oh s**t" in a fatality scream or something, it wouldnt bother me. But if they started yelling it during fighting or having stupid cheesy one liners before the match, I wouldnt like it. Like the above posts say, MK isn't a vocal game.

All right, here are a couple of ideas for provocation, show of force, teasing and cowardly answers.:

Johnny Cage:
-I don't think you have the talents. Frankly, I don't think you have it at all.
-You're blocking the sunshine from my exquisite sunglasses.
-I'm more than fame and flash. I'm the fame and flash with the knowledge.
-Damn, where's my stunt double right now?

Raiden:
-It seems your stamina and will has failed you, mortal.
-Dare competing against the deity of thunder?
-My strenght is eternal, your powers are period.
-We shall continue this in another future.

Liu Kang
-You shall fail before a true couse.
-I commend you, you have held your ground this far.
-Strenght of stone, will of iron, are you up to the challenge?
-I failed. But I shall not do so next time.

Scorpion:
-You cannot kill what you did not create.
-Come here!
-Flame, pain and rage ails me!
-You banished me this time. But your days are counted.

Sub-Zero:
-I am of the Lin Kuei. You are nothing.
-it is well known that lin Kuei cannot be touched.
-I shall chill your very soul!
-Retribution shall be swift and cold.

No strong language needed in further konquest MK games.

But I'd like to hear from each character in MK7 at least one cool / bad sentence that he / she says with some motions if we press on a certain button ( L2) during the match / fight. Also, to include an option that will allow us to create the sentence(s) that we want for our characters to speak.

No thanks. Maybe better dialogue, but we don't need swearing. I mean, who can you really see swearing anyway? Maybe Cage, but still we don't need it.

Dialogue in fighting games get repetitive and annoying. Plus they sound really cheesy and stupid...
