Dairou was a pretty good character overall. His story conflicting with Hotaru, and him being a ronin samurai was something fresh. I just don't get why he has the Chinese manchu hairstyle while he's Japanese. But theoretically him and Hotaru are both from Orderrealm so Dairou wouldn't be Japanese afterall. I wish they'd given him a samurai helmet though, it would have been so sweet to finally have a fully armored samurai. That is something I want to see in MK8.

I think you're in a bit of confusion. You see, his original concept was for him to be this Ronin from Outworld who was too bloodthirsty to abide by the Samurai way (lol....), and he was hired by Shang Tsung to guard his palace.
However, his MKD concept is different, going with a more Chinese influence, despite his Japanese name, which is actually mispronounced like other names in MK (e.g. Raiden, Fujin).

English isn't his first language. You really don't need to make a fuss over something like that...

#1. Quite aware. You really should mind issues that pertain to you. You do a better job that way.
#2. There's nothing "fussy" about a subtle correction.
-------------
You know if they do bring Dairou back in the future, I hope his fighting style stays the same, but is far more fluid in nature. I played with him a few times in the beginning and one of his biggest turn offs was how restricted he felt.
It's probably more of a systematic problem than anything, but the style just seemed restricted as all hell to me even his special moves. Like there was nothing "natural" about how the combos were put together. In Armageddon there were slight differences, but nothing catastrophic.

Which style of his are you talking about, Mi Zong Quan? If you're complaining about the lack of fluidity, that has to do with the poor design of the fighting system.
