he never deconfirmed them,on the contrary,he said people shouldn't jump to conclusions regarding their inclusion,because cassie had some of their moves.
as for the more new characters,that was a mistake they rectified by october,during BGS,most likely because they realized they made a mistake about the amount of new characters at E3(hell,they used MK1 as an example at E3,which had a total of 7 normally playable characters,excluding the 2 bosses and Reptile) for the record,here's a full list of the deconfirmations,most were by Boon,but there's several that were by Himmerick,and 1 by Urbano. Chameleon(Himmerick) Khameleon(Himmerick) Mokap(Himmerick) Jade Meat(Himmerick and Boon) Frost Skarlet Motaro Rain (Boon's kind strange about him,I wouldn't count him out...yet) Sheeva Shao Kahn(only one by Urbano) Kratos Freddy Krueger Nitara Li Mei(Mind you,this was a tweet Boon made regarding her inclusion,to which he stated Kinda unlikely,sorry!,but months later,he made and deleted a tweet,which hinted at her being given a cameo,which happened,so who knows,really) Drahmin Moloch Hsu Hao Daegon Mavado Any DC Universe character
