Who Can Stand Up To Kung Jin
Kung Lao knows how the White Lotus operate. If Kung Jin had anything to do with them Kung Lao would suss out Kung Jin's combat skills with ease. Even though both differently have ties with shaolin monks, Kung Lao is more noble and has learned more. Kindred often know each other well.

I've faced him online - people who are pro with him are really good...he gets you into VERY long, excessively over-damaged combos. I kept on him with Cryomancer sub-zero since it's a highly offensive variation. You keep him on the defensive and there's not much KJ can do.

Story wise - Probably anybody/whoever NRS wants to beat him. He has like 1 showing, beating Kotal Kahn, a character who has done nothing that impressive himself, and also lost to Jacqui too, so not that impressive.
Gameplay wise - Kung Loa can best him, as seen in Fatal 8, hell I have beating Kung Jin players before with Scorpion.

Story wise? Plenty of people. Raiden didn't go full fight-mode with Kung Jin, and I'm sure Kung Lao and Liu Kang could teach him some lessons.
Gameplay wise, I've been using Imposter Shinnok, and he works pretty well against him, when you mix the air-teleport, some of Shinnok's combos, and the ground fireballs, it's pretty easy.
But I have a better question? Story Wise, who CAN'T beat up Reptile? No seriously, in MK9 he gets his ass beat, in the Mortal Kombat X he gets his ass beat, by multiple characters, gets wounded in the fight with the Oni, gets stabbed by Mileena, etc. then in Mortal Kombat X he gets his ass beat again. I think Reptile is probably the weakest character story-wise on the Mortal Kombat X roster....ugh.

Which is silly if you ask me, idk how old Reptile is but I assume he is up there, which should give him plenty of fighting experience, and not to mention his ability to go invisible and spit acid should make him more trouble, NRS has just made him MK's biggest jobber lol

Baraka is the weakest. At least Reptile had an awesome scene against Stryker and Kabal. What about Baraka?
And he got stabbed in order to save Kotal's ass

Kotal Kahn said it best : "Spies are fine tools. You don't send them to deathmatches".
Reptile has his perks, but he's not necessarly the best at 1v1 combat. Unfortunately, the way the chapters work in the recent story modes he doesn't get to shine properly and he's used as canon fodder(since you can't have all the good guys beat the main villains).
Story Mode needs to be expanded. I don't mind the chapters set-up but we should use every character, not just the good guys. We want to know what everyone does, not just how the heroes wins.
But I disgress.
Kung Jin is sick. The Bojutsu variation gives you so much room he's the only character who managed to catch me into corner combos so far.

Sub-Zero is the ultimate Kung Jin counter.

Storywise, anybody can beat anybody, that's up to NRS. Gameplay, I know he's supposedly a big deal, but I have yet to face a decent Jin online. Maybe I'm just not facing any good ones, but then again, I don't see a lot of Jins. I see mostly Scorpion, Sub-Zero and D'Vorah. Lots of D'Vorahs.
