Judging by the pattern in which the last three games have been released, 08 for sure. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure Boon said it'd be November-ish 08 or something like that.

They have to release an MK game every year, and unless they have 2 others planned then I doubt that'll happen.

If they were smart., since they already released MKA for the Wii this year, they will delay UMK for the DS until early next year, which will give them until late 2009 to get MK8 out.

Before Deception came out, Midway had a press release that the MK Team signed a contract that they had to release an MK game every year from there on out.

2004 - Deception
2005- Shaolin Monks
2006 - Armageddon
2007 - Armageddon for the Wii and supposedly UMK for the DS
