I'm guessing some time in May during e3. And yes, I do realize that Ed Boon said that mk8 won't make an appearnace in e3, but the guy is full of shit.

This game isnt coming out until Fall 2008, so im guessing we wont get screen shots until next year. Also you guys do realize that E3 doesnt exist anymore right

E3 still exists. It's going to be smaller now and only big companies are allowed to participate. I believe only the press and the developers are allowed in the convention now as well.

e3 has just changed name,but there aren't limits for big or little developers and/or software house.
I think Ed Boon means that MK8 won't be playable during e3,but i'm sure taht at least few screen shots and a teaser trailer will be released.
I just want to see new characters,the graohics and if possible the returing characters(if someone will cfome back).
However be patinet,and please let the Midway team take the time they need for doing thisb game,as someone before me said:
"I DON'T WANT ANOTHER HALF DONE GAME!"(not flaming).

Well I hope by E3 just a few screens and a teaser.

Also maybe tell us a few (not all) which characters survived MKA and 2-3 new ones. Maybe a few pics of the surviving characters and new ones.
But at least there gonna take there time so the game should be awesome.

I forget which interview it was but Ed Boon said that there will be no MK8 at E3 07.

MK8 isnt expected to come out until fall of '08 so I dont think we'll be getting any info or screenshots for quite some time.

MK has made some sort of appearance in every E3 since around 1999. It would seem odd if we hear absolutely nothing about mk8 in this year's E3.

Kingjolly's right, they always make an apperence normally at E3. So
I think they should at least show us a few minor things.

I personally dont think that they HAVE to show us shit. something at E3 would be nice but I have a feeling it will have nothing to do with MK8 maybe DS MK

first off, its still way too early for anyone to post pictures for this game. its gonna take some time to actually get some real pics and not the one u made ryu. and i really don't think e3 is going to have anything on mortal kombat just yet. i know armageddon just came out last october and that they're creating it right now, but game making takes a long time obviously. and besides, they said that the game will come out in 2008. i'm not one hundred percent sure about that, but everytihng i have read so far about this game they said that its coming out in 2008. seeing how they're going into the next generation of course it will come out later.

So what if it's coming out in 2008. Alot of game companies release early pics/teasers/concepts of a game WAY before it even comes out .

kingjolly seriously, I think you can wait. If nothing is released at E3 this year then so be it. Its their game not yours. Forgive them if they didnt pencil in, "get a screen cap or render so Kingjolly and the other bitches at MKO will be happy" into their schedule. Plus we usually dont get any information about MK the February of the year of release. So Im guessing we wont get any screen caps or anything until Feb 2008

At this early in the development stages, you'd possibly just get a still of a single character. I suppose that would satisfy the masses, but I'd rather not have it. I understand that the development of the game will be a time consuming task, and I'm prepared to wait. The game is scheduled for release in fall of 2008 - that's quite some time away. Give them time to properly brainstorm, flesh out good and bad ideas, kill the bad, and continue.

Dude...I can wait. I actually dont really have that much high hopes for mk8, so it's not like I'm really even looking forward to it. I was simply just challenging people that we're saying that screenshots wont be released soon since the game will be released sometime in 2008.

For instance, Midway revealed the first pic (a close up view of scorpion) of MKDA in e3 2001 and the game was released over a year later in November 2002.

Anywayz, if MK8 doesnt make some sort of appearance in this year's e3, I'm pretty confident we'll get some pics in Midway's Gamers' Day Summer (or before that).

Right about... now... nah, they say E3 is too soon, but they're probably pulling our leg...

I think we'll officially see something mid-late 2008. Just my guess.

exactly... but you know, with armageddon on this site, there were SO many pictures showing everything with the game, it kinda spoiled too much of armageddon and so much we expected with this pics, we found out that it was a complete failure.

so when the developers finally do get pictures to show, this time lets not post every single little picture we can get out hands on. to keep us away from knowing what's to be expected and let us find out everything for ourselves. but i'm totally agreeing with you digital on this one.

At this point, I think no info on MK8 should be releaseed. If too much info is given away too soon, it is clear that the MK team (or any other company) would be rushing the development of their games.

I dont mind if Midway releases info such as fighting/game mechanics, vids that illustrate the graphics, screenshots, concept art, teasers, and some of the fighters in the game.

The kind of info that I dont appreciate are the ones that fall under the spoiler category. Such as: opening trailer, storyline, fighter bios, fatalities, secret arenas, and secret fighters.

I dont understand why Midway keeps on releasing critical info like that every year.

And for the guy above me, I appreciate the correction about the date of E3.

Maybe a new screen shot of MK will come out at the end of 2007. I really don't think we'll see anything until 2008 though.
